I can learn a lot from you! Is there a specific order to watch this series for a beginner?

Glad to hear that, and yes there is. Most of the content is organized in playlists, just go to the channel playlists and have a look. They way I recommend to go is as follows: 1. Excel Macro Tutorial playlist which includes the Excel VBA tutorial for beginners (10 videos or a 1-hour condensed video). There is also a video with 10 ways to run a macro. kzitem.info/news/bejne/pJt4yIh6nqymeII 2. Excel VBA Objects series playlist - Follow the order in the playlist! This video here where you commented is actually the first video. There are 5 videos about important concepts of the excel object model and then specific videos for each of the key Excel VBA objects starting from the top of the hierarchy model downwards (Application. Workbook, Worksheet, WorksheetFunction, Range, Shape, Chart). kzitem.info/news/bejne/poal0XuMiKlilpg 3. Simple Excel Macros playlist 4. Intermediate Macros playlist, Data Entry Macros playlist, or Web Excel Macros playlist, as you see fit 5. Fun stuff? Excel Games playlist 🙂 Hope that helps!

The trouble with vba is it is inconsistent; insisting on objects being selected first, other times not required... The object browser gives inadequate detail & specification on how they are used... A horrible language. Take the AutoCorrect class; object browser states it is a member of Excel. But to use it you need to use Application.AutoCorrect then the appropriate property/ method... It does not state this in the object browser.

Thanks for sharing your opinion, I will forward your complaint to Microsoft (kidding). Every programming language has pros and cons. Depending on the purpose, there are of course better development languages, but to work with Excel or spreadsheet data altogether, other Office applications, and even other Windows/Microsoft resources, it is a great language (along of course with other newer such as C#). I personally love it as you can imagine, that's why I created this channel.

How can it be inconsistent? It is deterministic, perhaps there are edge cases that aren't explained.
