The second in the Drone House series will be published tomorrow (05/24/23) on my KZitem channel, free to try to see if it feels like the kind of practice you’d like to invest your time in for your body or art. I’ll be presenting these workshops monthly this year, and leading folks through an evolving set of exercises in this 30 minute container, all pointing towards toning your connection with your body and expression.
Here’s is an excerpt from the last bit of a breath work section from Drone House II. (You can find instructions and this full segment at about 08:40 in the practice).
I’m purposefully holding a very specific tempo for us. It translates to about 3.75 breathe cycles per minute. This is a number that I’ve come upon slowly, based on my own study of other traditions, and what I’ve found in my own body in my breath practice. I’ve also landed here by paying attention to tempos that I find myself gravitating towards often in my composition. My home pace. That’s why I cultivate this one.
