Hey for us in the valley this has been a very cool summer so far. No 110s in June. I cant ever remember that happening in 56 years of being here. Typically we have had atleast 10 and several115 by now. The catle is cool to go thru. Parts are mace tith bottles and son like the building in DCA Radiator Springs. Love the man's treasure! Lots of muffler men in AZ couple in Flag in and out of the NAU dome. Route 666 in AZ was renamed 191 and is a scarey but gorgeous route in eastern AZ no guard rails and 2000 foot plus sheer drops. I admire what you do and have not missed an upload since 2013 on either channel. Thanks for showing the world what out in the world. People need to take time away from interstate highways and ride to forgotten roads and truely see America! Oh and the Rays v. Dbacks series has been great to watch! The ball is an old painted over Union 76 station ball. Went there a lot with my grandparents when the station was there in the early 70s.

That lumber jack statue brought back a memory I completly forgot about until now. Back in the 60s my mom and dad moved us out to California and on the way we stopped at a place in Flagstaff Arizona where there was a giant version of that lumber jack out in front of this resturant we ate at and I think it was even called "The Lumber Jack Cafe" or something like that. Memory is a weird thing aint it?

Very eclectic places you showed. I like the street sign mural. Also the yard full of metal items is pretty cool to look at. In a small way it reminds me of some of the unusual items that my folks had when I was growing up. For instance my dad and brother each had a large rocket ship ride vehicle that they got from an auction when a local amusement park shut down (that my dad grew up with and I went to a couple of times). They sat in our garage for years one on each side. Interesting when you opened up the garage and saw those. Also another thing was my parents had an antique fire engine. I remember sitting up on the back of it when I was young and just playing like I was putting fires out. My dad just loved to collect stuff. Probably where I get my eclectic taste from.

@@catherinemadrid6849 no those werent mesquite trees. I have 16 acres in my back yard with mesquites. The leaves are different on a mesquite and mesquites are full of thorns that are 1 to 2 inches long. Those seed pods are flat and a mesquite tree pods are more like bean pods in a garden, more round. Also I wouldn't grind mesquite bean pods into anything and eat it. They brought mesquite trees into Texas thinking cattle would eat them and found out cattle and people won't eat them. Yuck

there's still one left in Uniontown, Pa as well, at a tire shop holding a giant muffler. last i saw he was still painted in Steelers uniform colors of black and gold, they also used to put costumes on him once in a while years ago, bunny ears, a santa hat and lights around the muffler, and a green scarf for st pat's, but not as often after he got refurbished a couple decades ago. i guess they didn't want to accidentally damage him swinging the lifter around to get up there to dress him anymore, it can't be easy or cheap getting one of them repaired properly.
