Great review!👍. We also had these buses in Sheffield and, like you, I went to school on one. I believe that SYPTE was the only other operator to have them, apart from London. Don’t quote me - I may be wrong. The SYPTE versions had the indicators moved down to the front of the bus, incorporated with the side lights, and the rear wasn’t as enclosed - leaving the engine cover as ‘bustle’. Unfortunately, EFE’s model of this bus appears to be a London DMS in SYPTE livery.

Now this is more my kind of bus old school I was born in 1982 so probably just taken out of service but I have seen a few on bus rallies. Now don't get me wrong I'm okay with the newer buses of today like ALX 400 & Wrightbus Gemini 3 Scania Solar but for me these older buses have more character. As always Ash great video will have to try to add one of these to my fleet soon.

I completely agree mate and as much as I like the ALX400 Tridents and B7TL's. I would gladly own a real Daimler DMS. Some DM/DMS buses did last until about 1988 in London when the last of them were ousted by Leyland Olympian buses. Most of which were C-CHM and D-FYM Leyland bodywork batches. Glad you liked the video mate and I got this cheap on eBay as I was the only other bidder. £15 inc postage is a fair price.

Awesome! Is that an ALX400 bodied bus?

Hi there. No mate. The bodywork is from Metro Cammell Weymann that were built Birmingham, West Midlands and Park Royal in West London. The Alexander ALX400 came about in 1998 and was only available on the Dennis Trident, DAF DB205SLF and the Volvo B7TL chassis.
