I am so glad this is getting attention. This has been happening for years now if I remember correctly. We do not realize how much we are losing if bees disappear. :( It's not just their honey that is used across countless products on the market from cosmetic ones to basic necessities. They are also one of the main helpers in pollenating flowers.

The problem in my country is that so many people have bee hives at their homes that there's too many bee families and bees starve to death because there's not enough food for all of them:/ The weather keeps changing and we had no real summer this year which is super bad for the bees. Honey production went down for 80% this year. Bees are life. Without bees there would be no humanity.

If you live in California, try putting out a container of water that is easily accessible to the bees. We have a small fountain that we were going to stop filling because of the drought, but I saw bees coming and going from the water. The level was low because we were going to let it dry out, so I filled it to the top. The bees kept coming, and there were more and more every day. During the hottest days, there were probably thousands of bee visits (I suspect some were the same, coming back for more) and even now that it has cooled off into the upper 80s, they are still coming. My daughter suggested putting out a shallow container with some rocks in it, so the bees and other insects can climb out if they fall in. You have to make sure to dump it at night and refill it in the morning, to avoid mosquitoes, so just dump the old water into a flower pot or plant that needs it. Maybe Lionel Richie lives close by and our water is helping to keep his bee hive cool ;) I only wish we could benefit by getting some of that honey!

Lol it's funny how gardening, composting, chicken coops, bee keeping and all this natural stuff is such a novelty in US. In my country even people who live in condos have little gardens provided by the city. And probably every 4th house has their own bee hive.

@supertigerclaw4289

Well gardening in the US is not really a novelty here. People here do it just like you guys in your country too. It's just that celebrities make it look like its a new thing when they act all excited like they just discovered the next new big thing...but the rest of us normal people have been doing it for decades. Most of my relatives have their own gardens in their own backyards. As for owning bee hives, most Americans don't have bee hives out of fear of being stung. What you see on tv shows and online, especially when it involves celebrities, is not a good representation of regular Americans... Same goes with what you see in the news. We are regular people working 8+ hours a day, living basic plain non-newsworthy lives, which is why you only see reality shows depicting the lives of abnormal people. Who would want to watch what a normal American does everyday?...no one.

Super TigerClaw I'm not an idiot. I know life is not a TV show. But get real, TV does paint a general picture of the world. TV is not only fantasy shows, there are TV channels and shows that show a real image of how people live in certain countries. And I'm not talking of pop reality shows. And then there's KZitem. Once I was riding a train with an older American couple and they kept staring outside, surprised how every garden was filled with flowers, crop and fruit trees. I am certain that some people in US do have gardens, but it's definitely not as widespread as it is here.

pewpewpew The US is so huge is really just depends. Some areas have a lot of farmers and others don't. From my own experience of traveling around here I'd say most of us don't have gardens or composts, they're still consider pretty radical lol

People make stupid choices as they go through maturity. Some come out the other side completely changed while others never learn from their mistakes. At the end of the day I too was pleasantly surprised that she isn't who I initially thought she was. Kudos to her for growing up.

She was playing a character in The Simple Life for ratings. There are some off camera moments where Nicole didn't act like the airheaded Nicole, and there was this one episode where she told a guy off for repetitively calling Paris "stupid"
