Holy shit just discovered this channel, I love your energy and the vibe of these interviews! This is exactly the type of shit that me and sunny will be putting out !!! Since these are many hours long (which is DEFINITELY a good thing btw and a reason for these interviews being so insightful), are you open to uploading snippets (mayhaps even on a second channel) from each interview, or does that go against your ethos? If you're open to it, I'm happy to do all the work. I just need your go ahead and I can get it bish bash boshed for you. I thought this because I wanted to show sunny some of these moments but I think they'd be more likely to watch a screenrecord rather than a link to a 4 hour thing. I'm also myself trying to navigate the world of The Algorithm so very understandable if that's not the vibe at all but thought I'd check because I'm weirdly super keen to help out in this way!

The depth of the research done prior to the guests coming on (even if superficial for the show) is very impressive. You can tell the guests appreciate the fact you’re asking questions that demand them to open up about real shit. Great approach to interviewing. They feel comfortable enough to let you behind the curtain and it comes across massively on camera!! Definitely gonna keep an eye out for future podcasts and videos! Love from London!

I personally wouldn't compare TRL to Tik Tok. Social media in general doesn't do it justice, because on social media, most things are customized for the individual, and even though trends pop, their not as universally experienced like MTV was. MTV was like an event back in the day, a good comparison would be what its like when we watch award shows. When Will slapped Chris Rock, even if you didn't watch it, you heard about it. OR even better, it was like the Super Bowl. People ran to their TVs to sit and watch the newest music video, and when one person watched it they went out to the streets to tell their friends about it, and next episode, they tuned in as well. Music videos in general were an event to behold! Brought families together just to watch the latest music video. 106 & park was that and then some! Interestingly enough, theres a funny history about the origin of the Superbowl half-time show and how people weren't that interested in it until they saw how much we loved music videos and live performances, so they started incorporating it in the Half-time shows to get more ratings. Suddenly the superbowl became the most watched show in the nation, with the Half-time acting as a crescendo! Great interview btw, this podcast is dope!
