I watched this video weeks ago. This past weekend I was training with Larry in Zephyrhills and as part of the education, he put me into a spiral dive to teach me how to get out of it. Instinctively, I did the right thing and pulled myself out of it without any help from Larry...well except for the information HE provided in this video. Really good and useful stuff Larry - Keep them coming. These make a difference and I'm proof of that. See you soon to finish what we started!

Thanks Larry, your method allows easy controlling the exit of the dive without putting in danger the structure of the trike. I will practise it, just to be fit for who knows when. Once again, great video. Flybear.

Thanks for putting up this video Wes & Larry as it just might save my life one of these days. The more we know as pilots the better our chances are to fly and fly again. I learned how to recover from a spiral dive during my training but this review REALLY helped refresh that lesson. Again, my sincere thanks.

I am a 15 000 hr professional helicopter pilot of 37 years, with around 10000 fun hrs on trikes. I must say that you are one of the most relaxed calm and professional instructors I've ever watched or learned from. Thank you. Respect!

NIce vid, nice editing. Was the editing done on your iMac using iMovie? Thinking of putting my old MacBookProw 15 out to pasture and possibly getting the new iMac once it comes out. Just depends on how much heat the new iMac, as you know, the iMacs are quite the room heaters..

I have Macbook Pro 15 and iMac 27. This was done on the Macbook Pro with Final Cut Pro. FCP has more editing options than iMovie, but iMovie is faster. We like to adjust sound with multiple sound tracks, and video with multiple layers on some.

Larry, this Control Function to get out of a Stall seems BassAckwards to Most, Pulling the Nose Down of Wing looks like it would Gain Speed but I know you are Right...

This is not a criticism of the video, if you did overload the wing and it failed you’d end up in quite a tangle. You said you had a parachute, do you mean a ballistic system or a worn one? It looks plenty low enough to get clear and deploy safely if you are wearing it.

The UK training syllabus requires the student to be able to demonstrate spiral dives. Not something to be avoided but something to be taught.
