The exmark has the turbo deck baffle on it, which prevents the grass to be more Mulched up than the Hustler deck.

In my mind the baffle would prevent or block the grass more keeping it in longer and chopping it up. Maybe I don’t understand a baffle 🤔

@@americandream_89 no , it's not a chute blocker, look under the deck of the exmark and you'll notice the baffle, goes towards the deck spindle. It supposed to help throw the clippings out and not get thrown back into the deck. It's supposed to help the mower cut with less stress instead of Mulching up the same grass clippings. Problem is, leaves long grass clippings

I fully understand that it’s not a grass flap 😂 But when you’ve got a bar going from the side of the deck to your spindle or close as I pointed out the video it seems that it would somewhat hinder the grass from flying out. Making it chop it up better. The hustlers deck is much more open.

@@americandream_89 that baffle exmark puts on almost all their decks is supposed to throw more cut grass out and not return back into the deck causing the blades to cut extra grass, making the mower work harder! I have it my exmark lazer Z and turf tracers, seems to help somewhat. But, yes hustler mower decks are more open , especially the VX4 deck design that on the Super Z models

Ive gotta say that the hustler brake is more convenient to use but i prefer the foot brake mainly because you can lock the wheels quicker if you are in a situation that you are sliding. Its really hard to throw the handles up in a hurry.

The guy with the exmark said the same thought but in reality you can’t get to the parking break without moving the lap bars at least on exmark. I can’t remember on scag but it’s just one less step you have to make. It would be so hard for me to go back to pulling the break up. I have had to have my parking break adjusted before 200hrs but it works perfect now. How many hours you got on your cheetah

@@americandream_89 118hours on cheetah it has a foot pedal brake and you can push it with foot in a pinch. You don't have to flip out handle bars to push it. It works best in emergency situation. The old scags had a handle you had to pull which is kinda like the hustler. Almost impossible to get to when in a pinch. The new scag brake is hard to beat imo

I wish hustler would gift me a new model with a vx4 deck since the last one was warped and the dealer said that's just the way they cut. I still have my scag vs hustler cut quality video up. My new hustler was straggler city and the dealer said there was nothing wrong with it.

They say the squeaky wheel gets the grease. As in if you keep spreading negative towards hustler, and you are truly in the right, theoretically they wouldn’t want people to see that. The VX4 is a beast go test one. I’d like to hear your thoughts

Thanks for taking the time to do that comparison. I agree, most decks are at their best when they are pitched 1/4 higher in the rear. My Deere is no exception. I would love to try that XRide as I’m a big fan of the SZHD and the SZ. I love the 66” deck Hustler offers, it’s the perfect deck size for my application. Also like they out the Kawi EFI on that XRide too.
