In January 2024, the Patients Association published the report, Patient Experience of Diagnostics, which was sponsored by Roche Diagnostics UK and Ireland.
The report's findings showed that patients view diagnostics as a fundamental part of the NHS and one that should be prioritised over the coming years.
The webinar explored the report's findings, which came from more than 1,000 patients, and considered the report's recommendations on how to improve diagnostic services.
The panel was:
Professor Sir Mike Richards, the first National Cancer Director at the Department of Health, led a review of diagnostic services, which was published in 2020, and is working with NHS England to help implement his report
Karen Stalbow, Head of Diagnostic Policy at NHS England
Dr Ashton Harper, Head of Medical Affairs at Roche Diagnostics Ltd.
