I have rarely experienced that kind of feeling through all the years of building work I was part of for 50 odd years... Carry on building, not only the buildings, but the friendship and co-operation you have between you.

Brilliant stuff, best entertainment on KZitem . I'm reaching my house renovation anniversary in July this year when I've started my house project two years ago. Everything has been hack off to the brick, the house was a mix of toilet paper and caulking, worst than this one you're showing. Wife wanted the house ( I told her not to buy the rotten house, but she did it anyways) and according to the "surveyor" it was in an immaculate condition, (never picked up damp nor structure deflection, just so later I got that surprise to sort out). All joists replaced, 10 steels in for open plan layout, 15m2 extension done (weather has been the worst nightmare), now finally after plastering the whole upstair even with depleted energy I can delight myself to plaster the ground floor prior to lay the under heating floor and all of that singing that famous Céline Dion's song -> Oh by myself... I really enjoy watching your work and the side jokes too... Best of luck with everything.

That takes me back to my apprenticeship in the 70's. I was a trainee electrician and back then we seemed to be doing a lot of extensions and refurbishments, and my dad was doing the same at home, so I'm extremely familiar with the work you're doing there. I should also add that materials and methods have changed quite considerably, the part that hasn't changed is knocking down ceilings and walls in the existing property. As the apprentice it was always my job to go up in the loft and under the floor into the crawl space to pull cables while the electrician shouted at me from above. Happy days!

Question about wall demolition. We are in the process of planning an extension which involves taking down an a large external wall, 1 internal wall and also requires the chimney opening being removed (the same as this house), My question is, how likely are we to find a quality builder such as yourselves willing to do just these tricky expert parts of work ( inc putting the steels)? I am planning to do as much of the main build as possible myself. Ps: keep up the good work, your vids are always fascinating, educational and entertaining.
