The largest distinction between our universe and the Fallout universe is that the transistor wasn't invented until way late, which meant they couldn't miniaturize electronics, specifically data storage and transmission. That's also why they had to cook up robo-brains because they couldn't get super-processors that small. Meanwhile, they invested in pocket-sized nuclear cells because they ran out of oil.

Vault 11 was the one where they had to sacrifice one person a year or they were told they would all die, this of course not being true. They sacrificed the first overseer and would elect one person to be overseer who then would be the one sacrificed. War broke out due to corruption with elections which left 5 people remaining and saying they refuse to kill. This prompted an automated message telling them they passed and are allowed free movement in and out of the vault. It was after this they all felt ashamed and 4 of the 5 survivors killed themselves in a suicide pact, the 5th refused to and didn't go through with it.

Do you mean how the games should be made or how actual fallout works? Because both are a mess but the setting of the games is a lot more boring if the depiciton of Fallout was even slightly realsitic.

@@metazoxan2The way they made fallout is to make money but it's no longer fallout as the way the original games were. It's a corporate model and those always fail after a certain number of generations.

Immediate error, Fallout does not exist in an alternate universe. Games like the fallout series take place in an alternative history. While alt history is a form of alt universe, it has important distinctions revolving around real life. For example: in our world the Cold War ended and we progressed to our current technology. But in fallout, the Cold War never ends, which leads to a technological arms race, forcing leisure to take a backseat and encouraging the use of nuclear energy, all while businesses profit off the threat of atomic annihilation.

"Republicans wet dream" while over 70% of all politicians are making 30-40x their base pay from lobbied stock options . Also interesting fact Gavin Newsom (California's governor) just increased the minnimum hourly pay to 20$ n hour for restuarant employees. The same biĺl exempted his restaurant chain(still paying $15) and Panera bread (whos founder and owner has been his top contributer since before his firat term) All praise Nancy Pelosi, true emperor of the Democratic Republic may her 9 million she garnished in may grow fruitfully!

"Capitalism went unchecked! Just look at Vault Tech!" Remind me. . . where did Vault Tech get most of their funding? Oh right, government contracts, corporate-government alliance corruption, and the **LITERAL SHADOW GOVERNMENT** Look man, it's fine if you want to critique capitalism, but please try to understand what you're critiquing and the media used to do it? One of the major themes of the failings of Pre-War America in the Fallout Universe is how nearly indistinguishable they were from China by the end. Mixed-Model, Wartime economy, ever-increasing governmental power, the ever-tightening entanglements of government and corporate entities into one indistinguishable sludge where each acts as an arm of the same amalgamated body, leading to the arrest of dissidents, the grinding down of the common citizen, the erosion of rights liberties and freedoms, and both nations being willing to do horrible things to even their own citizens on the off **CHANCE** that they might gain an edge. I get that it's a short-form video done for comedic effect, but we're not stupid, we can spot when you're just jamming ham-fisted opinions in there because they're perceived as popular on social media, and not because they're well-reasoned or thought out.
