THAT was an amazing find, Ethan! The basement is the stuff that nightmares are made of, but everything else was stunning. The mouldings, the staircases, the windows...ridiculously gorgeous. They don't build 'em like that anymore, obviously, if the house is over 200 years old and still standing! I wish they wouldn't tear it down. How is it not some kind of historical landmark. Thanks for the tour!

Great explore Ethan! For as old as this house is, it’s in pretty good shape. My favorite part of this house was the writings on the walls upstairs as well as the fact that there were different sets of stairs that led to different areas of the home that were not all connected together. It makes for a great adventure when you don’t know what to expect. Thanks for this awesome explore!

I love it! I am a sucker for historical homes from the 1800's. I don't mind the upgrades because most wouldn't have indoor plumbing or electricity, I guess I am a lot like you in awe of the lives that were lived when it was built. Heating and cooking with wood, no air conditioning, no cars or paved roads but the glamour is still there. I just wish everyone, everywhere could appreciate that life was equally as challenging as it is today but in a different way. Such a beautiful stunning place. Many feet have walked through those halls over the decades. I hope it never goes away! Can you imagine playing hide and go seek in that house? Thank you for sharing this beauty! I loved all of it! Take care, stay safe & God bless! 💞 Kat

This house is a treasure truly a treasure and a shame to let go. It would make the coolest bed-and-breakfast on earth! Thank you so much for sharing this with us my favorite house ever! 🙋♀️🦋 Cindy

Absolutely LOVED this one Ethan! I tried counting bedrooms, but it was hard to figure out. There were four on the FIRST part of the second floor. And on the third floor, depending on how you counted them, there were at least three more. So that's seven bedrooms sharing one bathroom. And I can't imagine having to pee in the middle of the night and being on the third floor. lol Was there a half bath? I don't remember. But then when you took the second set of stairs to the second floor, I lost all pretense of knowing how many bedrooms there were. But, say ten, with two and a half baths. Yikes! The trim and details were fabulous! As you said, the craftmanship was outstanding. I'm trying to imagine what sort of family would have first lived there, and how many children there would have been. I don't quite understand why they would move the kitchen to the back of the house. Not sure why the original location didn't work, with a family room in back. But, it's not for me to decide. I think that my two favorite things about the house were the verandahs - even if we didn't really see them. I'm all about verandahs. They're the place to be in weather like this. But, the basement. It would have been a big nothing burger until you came across the wine cellar. Why would someone leave and not take the win?. Perhaps they took the good stuff and left what they didn't like? So - who were the last owners, and was it for a private family, or was it an air b 'n b, or a group home - ? That would be interesting to know. Thanks for this one Ethan. I'd love to see more of the same if you can find them. Great video!

Has to be one of the coolest most amazing houses I’ve ever seen. Built without technology more than 200 yrs ago and still standing. No power tools no electricity no indoor plumbing. If only walls could talk what could they tell of the generations that have called this home. The details and quality are unmatched by todays homes. And the walls of affirmations. Really really cool!! Makes me want to win the mega lottery and purchase this house. Someone would have to do something to the basement before I set foot into it but the wine cellar was cool. This home must be saved. They don’t make things like this anymore. One would need to be very wealthy to maintain this and heat it and cool it but it would be worth it. More so than paying exhorbitant amounts money to travel to the bottom of the sea to visit an old shipwreck. Anyway thank you for sharing this exploration and also braving the very creepy basement. Take care Ethan, be well and stay safe.

Omg Ethan what a find! So sad that she is being just left. Should be saved! What a stunning old gal. I could see her as a lovely bed and breakfast destination. Oh agree. If I had money,…she would be tucked under a wing. We muse like you. When our home was built back in the 1890s, the things she has seen. She was shipped on a train in pieces. She was lovingly built by hand stone by stone, board by board to last for generations. She saw two world wars, technologies come and go, built before electricity, running water… raised many families. Pretty awesome. What an incredible home. The upper room is called a butler. It works in bringing all of the heat from the home up as heat rises and out through the top room. But of course people today like to use it like a flex space…and can’t imagine why it’s so darn hard to heat and cool. A Butler was how it kept the lower floors cooler in the summer with airflow. They came up with solutions to deal with heating and cooling….looks like they started repurposing the attic space in this one… Wow this house goes on and on and on!

What an amazing place. Of all the places you have explored, this is absolutely my favorite. A maze of different living spaces, wonder if multiple families lived there, although it seemed there was only the one kitchen. I'm thinking the original house may have had a summer kitchen separate from the house to cut down on the heat. I'd hazard a guess that the room on the 2nd floor with the lovely artwork was an artist's studio. A very special place. Love the fact that at least the front part of the downstairs is traditional, the 2nd floor and the back part of the house is updated. I can't imagine the upkeep that would take today.
