Im confused because I heard they charging like $750 USD for some ingame ships. Are those more like exclusive pay to win varients with better gear or something?

No they are just luxury and big but you can buy them with ingame money

Nope, generally it's the size of ship you are buying and what it's specialty is. There is speculation some of the cost may relate to difficulty in obtaining reputation to be able to get some ships in game when that is all implemented. It's honestly more "pay to progress" but you can BUY the massive ship but without sharing it with friends it's not going to be especially effective. Best part is nothing prevents you from just finding someone with said giant ship and just asking to join their crew, unlike many other buy to progress games where your experience and character are only bound to your account. Example being in world of warcraft I have no "legitimate" way to experience a top level warrior in high level raiding without doing everything on my own account. In star citizen I can just ask and someone in chat has the ship and are usually happy to show it off for me to try.

to clear this up, they dont charge you for the ship... u give them money to support the project, the ship is only a "thank you".. u get all these ships ingame with ingame money and reputation unlocks. the only thing you need is the 45$ gamepack to unlock your access to the game. this game is crowd funded, means no publisher.

the misconception of ships and items in SC is that they are pay to win... if you manage to buy a big ship, it is not pay to win.... the ship does become available to buy within 3 months of becoming flyable in game it just gives those who purchased them time to fly them, and also iron out any potential bugs that may have not been discovered prior to the release... also the point of pay to win is to give an unfair advantage over what is available... since no ship is great at every role, that assumption for pay to win is also debunked.... and a lot of those high priced and larger ships you cannot solo... for example the 890j you will need a crew to utilize the weapons and fly the ship... this can be the case for other ships too... for example the Constellation, the Corsair, the Cutlass, Freelancer, Reclaimer etc... while you can solow the Connie, Corsair, Cutlass and Freelancer... you will find yourself out gunned despite them having some fairly decent firepower for their size and classes... without crew you miss out on being able to defend the ship from boarders, enemy ships and you leave yourself open to defeat.... plus the bigger the ship the more the cost of running and repairing it goes up.... teh Reclaimer is a prime example of this... as well as the 890 etc... the Carrack doesn't have any pilot controlled weapons and the Hammerhead only has torpedoes and missiles rest are manned turrets... soloing will mean you can become easily ganked by a light fighter who has the determination and the right weapon loadout to remain in your blindspot and below your ability to lock missiles or torps on to them... and the larger ships are not as agile as the smaller craft.... the Scorpius while smaller and more agile than some of those on the list... will find that without a copilot who can manage missiles and the remote turret... it loses 50% of combat effectiveness where as the lowly Mustang Alpha or the Aurora both 40-45 £$ could easily prove the victor in that encounter.... especially if pilot skill is concerned...

The interiors seem like useless fluff. I dont know but if you cant interact with something what the point. Would be neat of they let you play mp4s or something on the internal screens. Reminds me of those games that always want to prioritize housing which has never worked out to date. Just give people an empty cube they can decorate and store stuff. No one wants more than that.

I wasn't only referring to gravity tho. I was also referring to the fact that the ship would also be constantly changing its motion in space.☝️🤓
