The blowing up of the Buddha’s in Bamyan by the Taliban is actually more of a base level degeneracy than just religious intolerance. The Taliban who are comprised of the caucasian Afghans blew it up because the statues looked like the Hazara minorities, or the more East Asian looking tribes in the area.

Pashtuns do not like the history and historical monuments of other ethnic groups to remain, especially the Hazaras, who are still reeling from the Pashtun massacre and have had many of their lands usurped by Pashtuns, who continue to harass them, along with the Taliban, who support this usurpation and killing as a single ethnic group.

Beautiful video. Every edge of Afghanistan has a different beauty. Bamyan was the west border of the Budhism the east border was Japan. The caves were full of Monks meditating. The red city is called the city of screaming people. Because when Dschingis Khans army found out where the escape tunnels were, they entered the cuty and killed all the population. And you could hear them screaming. That's why it was called the city of screaming people. Some people say that the Budhas were destriyed by the US to convince Asian countries who were against an attack in Afghanistan to attack and invade the country. Taliban are allowing to rebuild them. I Bamyn there us another Budha statue which is as tall as the Eifel tower in Paris, 300 meters in a sleeping pisitiin, maybe under the fields. They are searching it. Have a great time. 💐🙏😊

However, for tourists who act as unpaid missionaries for the Taliban, there is no problem. There is a saying in Farsi that one says after given a nice complement, it’s not I but it’s your eyes that are beautiful so you see the beauty in everyone. Afghanistan in the past was one of the greatest centers of Buddhism. and it's also where the Zarostian religion was born. Zartusht the prophet of that religion was from Balkh Afghanistan. in the past majority of Afghans were Zarostians or Buddhists. and these places were built by Afghans or to be more precise by Arians. they were not built by Asians, people of Bamiyan or Hazara that have Asian faces come way later to this place after these temples were built. they are actually a mix of Turk and Arian. which has a history after Islam.
@michaelralte8195

Indeed they were not built by the current dwellers the Hazara people, but there is no proof that 'Aryan' people built the buddha statues of Bamyan. These statues were built by the Hephthalites also known as white huns. Between conflicting opinions and the lack of solid evidence, the most plausible and currently most prominent theory is that the white huns were turkic in origin and adopted Bactrian (Iranian language). 6th century byzantine historian Procopius recorded "The Ephthalitae are of the stock of the Huns in fact as well as in name, however, they do not mingle with any of the Huns known to us ".... The Huns were sort of Mixed but they were predominantly Asian of origin.

Atheists are some of the most religious and faithful people ever. It takes an incredible amount of faith to be an atheist. Sun, moon, stars, oceans, the Earth, animals, babies, male, female, the human heart, emotions, our conscience, love, intelligence, the human mind, bone structure, the human reproductive system, biblical prophecies coming true all before our eyes, eyewitness accounts of Jesus, and more and still there are some people who deny God’s existence.

Actually you are wrong, the Buddhas of Bamiyan did not have Asian features, they were part of the larger Gandharan Buddhist culture that expanded into Bamiyan from Peshawar and Kabul. So they looked very much like the Gandharan statue that were found in Places like Kabul and KPK. Look up the heads of the Afghan Buddha statues in British Museum. Also the Asian looking people of Bamiyan are descendants of Mongols. They came to Afghanistan around 12th century with Changiz Khan's army. almost more than 500 years after the Buddhas were built. The original people of Bamiyan were completely wiped out. Changiz khan committed similar genocides in other cities like Balkh and central asian cities like Merv and Bukhara which were once Persian cities.
