Hi from Australia, I don't write many comments but just wanted to say how much I enjoy you videos. Thankyou so much, I'm sure there's times you don't want to video and that's understandable but I for one appreciate it, especially when now some of us are still locked in our countries. Would love to visit Portugal one day. 🙂

Castelo Branco has really mushroomed! Thanks for showing us how old 🇵🇹 is. Now, as a teacher, I cannot let this slip. "Freguesia" (parish) is pronounced "Fre Gue Zia". 1st part say it as if you were saying "Fred" the "g" is pronounced as in "gas". Middle part is just "Gue" as is if you were saying "Guernica" (the painting by Picasso) & last part is pronounced ZIA with accent in the "I" as in "Zia Records" . 😁 Now pratice... There is another word you need guidance with pronounce wise, but I forgot which one. Must review video again and will post 2nd comment on it. Keep on travelling within Portugal. Suggest a visit to Manteigas, Seia, Guarda, all within easy reach. Cheers.

I loved this video today. Love Castelo Branco, the history, castle, knights templar was an interesting story loved it. I liked Fast Vegan 🌱 and their outdoor eating was beautiful. The park was also beautiful 😍 the rocks and history how they were formed, very nice history lesson. As a former educator I loved it. Since it’s free it’s a nice exercising trail. I don’t like those suspension bridges 🌉😩😂 bridges either. Great video guys. The kids will love those slides.

That was one of the best videos yet!! Well done Gina getting Ken the massive expert on absolutely everything in the world to eat & enjoy a vegan meal, I've been vegan (for the animals' sake) since 1982 & it was good to see Ken not eating meat for a change. Love Gina's renamed rocks - Bart Simpson's bottom & Terry's chocolate orange! Gina enjoyed the rope bridge but I'm with Ken there as I also have a balance problem. Jealous of the slide, sitting on a jacket or something would speed that up a treat. Keep up the fab videos & enjoying life together in Portugal. 😎

Hello Ken! Please allow me to make a small correction: the parish of Soalheira doesn't belong to the municipality of Castelo Branco. Soalheira is in Fundão! Just a quick 101: continental Portugal is divided in 18 districts, each district is divided in several municipalities, and each municipality is divided in parishes. The city of Castelo Branco is the district (Castelo Branco) capital. Btw, when you and Gina decide to make another road trip, I recommend a visit to Bragança and Vila Real.

It's so cool that for the first time, I know those places that you showed us. You should check the museums too. They are small but I like them and the tickets are really inexpensive either €1.50 or €2.00. You can see the artifacts excavated from an archeological site I can't remember the name anymore at Museu Francisco Tavares Proença Junior. They've got religious art, costumes, embroidery and photography exhibited there as well but mind you most are described in Portuguese only hence my difficulty remembering what I've seen. It's apparently the oldest museum in CB - the building looks like the house of horror; I wouldn't want to get lock in there at night. The handouts are only in Portuguese and Spanish so I didn't get any. Another place that is worth a visit is Jardim do Paço.

That is a really awesome park! I love that they make it so accessible for everyone to go look at and walk through. It's quite an interesting geological feature. With so much quartz in the granite, did you feel anything unique? Often ancient megalithic structures were built with rocks that contain quartz as it is a good conductor of energies. Ken grumpy?!
