Manuka honey is made by bees that pollinate the flowers of the tea tree bush (leptospermum) which is found only in Australia and New Zealand. It contains very high levels of antibacterial compounds (MGO). The higher the MGO the greater the antibacterial effect. The Australian manuka has the highest level as it comes from a species of tea tree that is found only in Australia. Doctors in Australia use it to treat bacterial infections in cuts and wounds when they don't respond to antibiotics.

It's a chain store, and not a fancy department store at all, but it has tons of trinkety, Christmasy, foods and decorations. I get the same feeling when I go there. I love seeing both of you! To tell the truth, I'm a bit shocked at how underwhelming the Christmas decor is at Harrod's. Perhaps the sheiks who own it don't quite understand Christmas decorations. In the old days, a world-famous high-end department store such as Harrod's would have Christmas decorations and twinkle lights in every single department. Often there would be different themes in each different department. *SIGH* Just like Joel, I always enjoy the food section and am not impressed by the designer brand departments. xxxx oooo From Chicago USA where Mr. Selfridge made his first fortune.

To put it in British terms, if you ask me, the reason going into an expensive posh department store feels the way it does is because the people workng there always seem to be snobby toffee-nosed people who think they are better than anyone who doesn't at least look like they have money. They think their status in society is elevated because they get to interact with rich people. I am always so envious of all the cheeses you can get in the UK and Europe because it's a small fortune to get real cheese in the US other than cheddar unless some dairy farmer happens to make some approximation of a European cheese that they sell locally. That Peter Rabbit chocolate bar would cost about $10.00 in the US.

It’s odd, I never feel intimidated in a luxury store, but my husband does a bit. I explained they are humans too. Just doing their job, and work off commission. I worked at Neiman Marcus in the couture area, and we were “sever shopped” (meaning, we were graded on different levels of our customer service) grounds of termination if you received below a 92. Fun vlog, and great to see both of you with your lovely smiles and laughter.

@@charlottecunningham2141 I will say that my first job was working at Neiman Marcus in the middle of the 90’s. Employees were told to never judge someone on how they are dressed. We were also secretly shopped to assure as an employee of a blue chip store that you offered the best customer service. If you scored lower than a 92, you could be fired. Everyone had to work on the sales floor from the beginning. A lady with dirty dungarees, and muddy boots came to the section (lingerie) that I worked in before moving to a couture designer. In 30 minutes, she bought over 8,000.00 of underpinnings. She was kind, but a bit demanding as she was in a hurry. Turns out as I rang her up in conversation she was a breeder in Louisville. My opinion, you enter blue chip store be confident, and employees know not everyone can buy luxury goods. Employees understand, and if they are properly trained, they should be as pleasant to you, as someone that is a frequent client.

that honey isn't really all that different just its spun at a higher rate to create that texture. you can take any honey and spin it much faster until sugar crystals start to form then its drained off to make a spreadable honey. i prefer orange blossom honey myself as i live in an orange growing area so its readily available also wildflower honey is different as you don't know its exact origin but usually bees are pollenating crops and that turns into honey then its labeled as wildflower honey but its usually some fruit crops or field crops.
