Places like that have a lot of touristic potential imo. Japan should preserve such towns with all that old architecture and make them attractive points for international tourists. I guess it works with any other countries the same way. Nobody wants to see usual stuff like typical modern Japanese suburbs (okay, after some time you don't want to see similar modern Japanese suburbs that much, I'm speaking for myself at least), but old Japanese towns like that, it's always interesting just to walk around them. People naturally want to see history, something exotic and authentic, even people that interested in modern urbanism.

There are a few little towns like this, and I’m excited to check them all out. Most people go to Kawagoe to see this kind of thing which is a nice place but has become very touristy, so getting out to these lesser known areas can be much more rewarding for people visiting Japan. Even as someone who lives in Japan I wouldn’t get bored walking around this town. Usually I visit places difficult to access by train but this one is not too far from a station so it really deserves more attention. Thanks for watching!

For some reason that small cafe reminded me of the old Training House in Saitama.
