Wonderful pictures / footage in the video, but there are a few pieces I fail to see belong in a video about the Royal Swedish collection. True, they have at some point in their life had a connection to Sweden in some form, but they are no longer in that collection. In fact, the Daisy brooch was never a part of the Swedish collection. It was made as a wedding gift to Queen Ingrid when she married the Crown Prince of Denmark. So it first belonged to Queen Ingrid, who was Queen of Denmark (after first having been also the Crown Princess of Denmark for many years). So this piece was first in her collection as a member of the Danish Royal Family. So I would definitely say that this is more a Danish piece rather than a Swedish one.

Why do they call it a stomacher, when it's a necklace and doesn't go around the stomach please?
@BejeweledinCarats
20 күн бұрын
Great question! The term "stomacher" has historical roots and refers to the decorative piece that was once worn on the front of dresses. However, stomachers are difficult to wear in today's fashion. In this case, the Bernadottes transformed it into part of a large diamond necklace.

💯 correct facts. Princess Victoria is Not Yet Queen. But she is next in line to be heir. Pretty soon being declared. We know Margaret is Queen of Denmark, her jewels are inherited by Sweden . I fact checked from court jeweller. So should you!
@regalevents5026
22 күн бұрын
@@MarkRaff Right; so as per your own words Crown Princess Victoria is not yet Queen. Even so she is referred to once as Crown Queen and once as Queen of Sweden in the video. Nor is she next in line to be heir. She IS the heir. And there are no indications whatsoever that her father, King Carl XVI Gustaf, is abdicating anytime soon. Queen Margrethe of Denmark inherited some of her jewels from her mother Queen Ingrid of Denmark. Queen Ingrid was indeed born a Princess of Sweden, but she lived most of her life in Denmark. So Queen Margrethe actually inherited / was gifted the jewels from /by her mother', who was a Queen of Denmark for many many years.

I agree that it is terribly researched and most of the names are butchered. For example, the former Danish Queen (who, is not Swedish and most of her jewels are not from Sweden) is Margrethe - it is not said as Margaret in Danish or English. Margaret is not her name. Another example is the narrator names "Crown Queen Victoria" - Princess Victoria is a Crown Princess and not a Queen.

@@stacymagnusson5683u are wrong. Margaret jewels have swedish roots through her mother Queen Ingrid. Please go fact check. Also the pronounciation could be better i agree.
