Another iteration of the Sandman character has just graced our screen through Netflix’s “The Sandman.” You’re probably quite familiar with the traditional story of the mythical creature sprinkling sand on the eyes of children to bring them to sleep. The dirt or rheum in our eyes was said to be the sand of the Sandman. Let’s dust off those sands on our eyes and discover where that story came originally came from.
