Hi Vui! Thanks for commenting. We are currently in Nha Trang, but Chris got sick so we haven’t been able to get out to the Cham towers like we had planned. Hopefully we can visit them tomorrow. Nha Trang is a very busy city with lots of tourists. It’s note nearly as peaceful and quiet as Mui Ne.

Justice for 20 million indigenous Cham Hindus and Muslims slaughtered by Vietnamese settler colonialists 1471-1840

We are learning a lot about the history of Vietnam, which is not really taught in America schools. I picked up a couple of books so I could learn a bit about the history before we visited. I didn’t realize how many different groups of people inhabited the area we now know as Vietnam and how many battles were fought to control the land. I was also very surprised to learn that the Cham people were Hindu but later many turned to the Muslim faith. As we travel around we are humbled by how little we know about much of the world. Hopefully we will see peaceful times ahead for Vietnam and its neighbors. The people are so kind and respectful. -Chris
