Some great information there. Good to see the face behind all the videos too. I regularly cycle from basildon, stop off at terling to catch some freight workings passing on the main line. The continue up to rayne for a cafe stop then follow the path up to Braintree and then home. From memory stane Street halt still features on the route too.

Very interesting. Was always aware a line used to run here but didn't know so much old infrastructure was still present. Great bit of history. I wonder if GA wishes this line was still operational. Definitely before Covid times

So this former railway line from Braintree went all the way to Bishops Stortford and would of been parallel to the A120. Nice piece of history.

I am the start hill end i use this a quarter of a way up from my end to get to the forest i cycled a little further i get the the point where you can take the first straight in to dunmow on the way back i found the kicking dickey pub where i have always wanted to go to then i took my route through the estate behind the kicking dickey because i was concerned about my safety on the dunmow bypassing to cross i then found this foot viaduct near tesco my mistake i did not know how steep the verge was and i was stupid yesterday and slid down

@@LinesideSouthEast yes i was fine did not damage my bicycle I ripped my jeans thow my friend lives in dunmow i will cross the road at the end next time then take the next half to felstead i wont cycle the full thing to braintree thow too far for me
