I recently found my grandfather's old Leica camera from the early 1930ties. With a 50mm Summar 2.0 lens and the help of an adapter, I attach this nearly 90-year-old lens to my Leica M10 Monochrom, unlocking a world of vintage aesthetics.
Armed with my beloved M10 Monochrome, the Summar lens, my trusty M10R, and the 50mm Summilux ASPH version 1, I capture a range of scenes and try to compare and recreate the vintage look from the color versions.
Witness the beautiful glow, creamy bokeh, and distinctive contrast that transport me to another era. While challenging, I find promising results in replicating the vintage aesthetic, though I believe the true craft lies in achieving it in camera.
