They stopped manufacturing blob tops around 1910 , except for some citrate blobs which were totally machine made til around 1915

That appeared to be a shut off valve for an in home gas lighting system. The Fulton 1915 is rated R, for rare, in Porter's Coke Bottle Checklist, nice score! Somehow I've found a Seymour Osgood Chero and just Seymour. Keep up the videos and good luck.

I have a question. Like I said earlier I’m digging in northern Michigan in a site kinda like that. When ur done at the site are u gonna hail all the garbage out of there or just leave it? I feel like I should clean it up but also a monumental task 😂. I’ve got piles of bottles I dont want and millions of busted ones.

Not sure the circumstances that your site is on, but this site is on private property and I feel it would be a huge disservice to the land owners if I came in and created a mess and left it that way. We try and bury back the bottles we discard as we are going. I have carried probably 20 buckets of glass out and recycled and probably have 20 more as soon as I go back. I always try and leave a site as I find it or better. I would certainly advise anyone else do the same!

@@IndianaDirtDigger yeah I feel like I should bag stuff up and haul it out just wasn’t certain if I’d be “ruining a historical site”.

I could never find any railroad dumps. How do you find one.
@IndianaDirtDigger

My town was basically founded by and for the railroad. This dump just happens to be very close to the railroad which is why I call it that. My town also happens to be home to a gang of bandits led by the Reno brothers that committed Americas first train robbery. Another fun fact, this dump happens to be very close to their family farm. Pretty neat even though everything I have found was discarded long after they were hung!!!
