Hey guys! So I'm out in Glendale visiting my sister and the other day we were running errands and it just so happened that we drove over the bridge. My sister had no clue that I wanted to see the Shakespeare Bridge and the second I saw it, I started yelling, "holy sh*t!!! it's the Shakespeare Bridge!" over and over and about scared the crap out of her! Haha, thanks guys for making this video and in turn, a great memory from my trip!

Hi Laura!!!!! That's so awesome! Hearing stuff like this is why we wanted to create the show, so thank you! :) The bridge sure comes up fast, doesn't it? Hope you continue to have an amazing time with your sister and can't wait to hear what else you get a chance to see!

There’s something I’d like you to check out. I only just heard about them. They’re called “Dingbat apartments” and they’re all over Southern California. I just Googled them and there’s a lot of info about them. I bet hardly anyone knows about them.

@OddityOdysseys

+cee128d It's actually a knife from the USMC. But good eye! It's a looooooooog backstory and personal attachment to the knife after it came in handy a few times. But perhaps for future episodes, we'll leave it home :)

+Oddity Odysseys Or just spend a little time explaining it. It just seemed a little silly to be wearing it to most of the places you visit in your episodes, plus the legal issues. Not sure about where you are filming, but where I live it would illegal to carry it without a license.

cool looking bridge and for it being a landmark you would think the city or County would take better care of it. All that undergrowth underneath the bridge and on the bridge should be cleaned up. Thanks for all the videod yall make I find them really great.

It's so funny how I found you. I saw a picture on my Instagram of Victoria Beach Ocean Pool, CA; and had to google it to find out where it was!! Found your video of the tower in the search and proceeded to watch all your video's. We plan on going to see Victoria Beach and it's sights! We've been to Murphy's Ranch a couple of times. Walked there from the Boy Scout Camp just above it. My husband took me to the "Bat Cave" (he calls it that, too!) as well as a few other hidden treasures in L.A. It's fun finding interesting and historical treasures in the city you live in! Thank you for taking us on your journey's!

GREAT photography, and I enjoyed the Shakespeare references. I was in the LA Public Works department for a meeting and the original engineering drawings for this bridge were on display. Love it when a great piece of public architecture is valued by so many. Thanks for sharing.

Great videos! Having lived in LA for over 30 years before heading back East in 2012, these bring back so many memories! Extremely well done from a production standpoint too. I wonder if the bridge was built with the John Marshall High School, just up the road from the bridge on St George, in mind. That's the street I took from Hyperion to get to Franklin. John Marshall was built 5 years after the bridge and the Hollywood East name would make sense.

Long time transplant to LA, and I'm glad you're doing these great videos for newbies and otherwise to explore the area. Just a note though, contrary to how you might think it is pronounced, it is Los FEE-liss, not Los Feh-LEEZ. And if someone points out it's not correctly pronounced, how about San PEE-dro and Loss Angeles itself? Pronounce it correctly and be a local!
