The Tortilla Ranch Trail is in the Tonto National Forest near Apache Junction, Arizona. This trail is unique because it passes through a corridor into the Superstition Wilderness.
The first half-mile of the 3.4-mile trail is the most challenging as it climbs up exposed rock ledges. It then becomes a relatively smooth, packed dirt trail with occasional steep drop-offs on one side.
The trail requires a lifted 4x4 vehicle with larger tires. Lockers and a spotter may also be helpful.
