I loved this unique "Google Earth" expedition. Intriguing use of the virtual maps made this an exceptionally suspenseful video and explore. Breathtaking footage as always. 👍💯

Train grade abandon long ago, maybe a R/R station at the end of power lines. Check pole tags usually show height class 1-4 and year. good job again Larry thank you ALL stay safe take the last train to Tonoph.

While you were walking around out there, a thought came to mind….do you think it could have been caused by military action? Maybe moving ground around, and not for mining? It all seemed kind of random and not totally functional as it would with a mine. If it was the start of a strip mining camp….🤔 who knows??? But what would they be going for? Gypsum? A lot of gravely rock. Interesting area. But nothing really old. Except for that covered pit……🤔

Pull top cans began in 1962. End-of-RR-track suggests an ore loading place.

Research U.S.G.S. maps on mineral in that area. May tell you name of mines also. Tonopah Tidewater R/R. Check pole tags if any grid section # pole # can you follow them to some sort of civilization. Good luck the hunt to me is greater than the kill.

Spur off of the T&T railroad is what it was. From a comment below.

Interesting area Larry. Modern day geoglyphs caused by mining no doubt. I'm pretty sure I have been in that area before and thought there had been a railroad through there as well. Good to see a nice hiking video from you again. 👍
