Venturing into Vung Tau and only one full day to explore, I embarked on a whirlwind exploration of this coastal gem, immersing myself in its scenic beauty and rich history. Beginning my day with the best English Breakfast, I've had in South East Asia at Emily's Kitchen, a must-visit culinary gem in Vung Tau, I fueled up for the adventures ahead.
Scaling the heights of spirituality, I ascended to the iconic 32-meter-high statue of Jesus Christ, overlooking the city with awe-inspiring majesty. Next, I meandered through the tranquil oasis of City Lake, despite its need for restoration, before marveling at the French Colonial Lighthouse, a testament to Vung Tau's storied past.
As the day drew to a close, I found solace and reflection at Villa Blanche, the former residence of the French Governor General of Vietnam, concluding my day with a sense of wonder and gratitude for the experiences encountered.
