In the latest episode of Construction Week Expert Interviews Series, we sit down with Ahmed Al Khatib, Chief Development and Delivery Officer at Expo 2020 Dubai to get exclusive details about the final phase of activities leading up to the grand opening of the World Expo on 1 October 2021.
The conversation shaped inside Terra - The Sustainability Pavilion, which was opened earlier this year for public visits.
Now, the Expo team is busy with the final leg of activities including finishing as well operational works.
Al Khatib reflected on the journey of Expo 2020 Dubai right from the bidding to the design and construction stage, while also sharing details about the challenges that crossed their paths and how the Expo overcame them to become the "most sustainable" World Expo.
