The fact that neither of them went out to look for Madeline says everything. A normal parent wouldn’t stop, sleep etc to find their baby. But then again you wouldn’t leave them alone. A family holiday? They spent all their time in daycare whilst Gerry played tennis and she went running etc. Narcissists. Funny how all these so called people they’ve named as the murderer of Maddie….using them as a scapegoat…..have all been proved innocent. Everyone knows what happened. What or who is protecting them for even abandonment?

You have to remember that prior to this,a little girl called sarah payne had been taken, raped and killed by roy whiting. The mum, also called sarah, just dropped everything to make a news appeal. Because she was dishevelled, not well dressed, no make up, she was pilloried in the press. Ditto her husband, who had mental struggles. That is why women of missing children are immaculately turned out on tv these days.

My first time finding your channel, and the first time that I have heard Jon speak. Highly impressed with both. As others have said it really is refreshing that you just sat back and allowed Jon to speak. I absolutely love listening to ex police talking about their times in the force, their experiences and their opinions on society today. They certainly don't make them like this anymore. Much to the forces detriment I must say. I do have to add one thing, King Charles III DID instantly issue a statement and also visited the people and the families of the 3 little girls so viciously murdered in Southport. We also have to remember that he is still receiving treatment for Cancer, which is why his visit was not immediate, and this was received very warmly by the residents of Southport and the families affected by the tragedy. It is not the decision of the monarch if we have national days of mourning. That is purely a governmental decision, so I'm sorry, I have to completely disagree with Jon on this particular matter. Keep up the great work! X

What a fantastic interview. Jon is a truly amazing man who should be rewarded for his courage... it's probably the only way this Country full of apathy and complacency will start to change. The mention of the cat in the bin scenario highlights just how people in general aren't prepared to face a particularly vile reality that's happening all around us. Apathetic, complacent fools. Naming names such as those on the Epstein Client List for example, isn't going to bring Justice for the Victims, there needs to be evidence of criminality to secure a solid conviction.

Thank you for this.... and I really value and appreciate Jon's experience and care, but I would like to point something out - you have to take culture and class into account when looking at behaviour. The Somali woman was distraught not only because her child had died (and yes, EVERY mother would be) but also because that is culturally correct in Somalia. For a Middle class, British woman, it is not culturally acceptable to cry in public and 'putting a good face on it' is what we do. The stiff upper lip is real.
