Here are the tips summarised:
Helping a child talk requires creating a LANGUAGE RICH environment..
How do you do that? By following these 5 Tips!
1. Think of Teaching your child vocabulary beyond just names of Animals, ABCs, Colors, Shapes & Verbs.
There's more to speaking like the details of objects. Eg. Here "wrapper" is a part of the chocolate. OPEN maybe a word ur child knows, introduce TORN.
2. Add Gesture/ actions to your speech. This especially helps when u r trying to teach new words.
Whatever the brain learns through movement it remembers.
Visualising words also help understanding.
3. Don't just read story books, there's so much u can talk about in the pictures.
Even if u feel ur child is not listening or understanding, still talk. Remember we want to create a LANGUAGE RICH environment.
Point as you describe.
4. Make simple rhythmic songs with repetitive words.
In the video I am using my "I can __(actions)__" song and my "I am __(emotion)__" song.
5. I have so much more information on my KZitem where I can share long form videos and talk more. Don't forget to check it out.
