How to best open our 2.5-liter olive oil canisters? 🫒🌎
We're kicking off the olive harvest and will soon press our extra virgin olive oil. The oil is bottled in our 0.5-liter or 2.5-liter canisters. The larger canister is excellent for refilling, allowing you to store the daily needed amount in a smaller bottle while keeping the rest optimally stored.
Step 1: Start by pulling up the large black cap of the canister, revealing the transparent part. Then unscrew the black cap and subsequently open the small red valve. This prevents the oil from gurgling while pouring and ensures a smooth, even flow.
Step 2: Only after the black cap and red valve are open, begin transferring the olive oil. It's best to use a funnel for this.
We're aware that there might be a learning curve initially, so it's advisable to have a slightly damp cloth handy. With each attempt, it gets easier. 😉
