Easy ways to save some money, eat at home not at restaurants, buy more store brands and not name brand products from the grocery stores. Plan your shopping trip and meals for the week prior to going to the store so you can plan meals with what you already have on hand and what you would need to buy, and also see if the store you're going to has coupons on their rewards card. Turn lights off when leaving a room. Turn the facet off until you actually need to rinse the dishes or rinse your tooth brush or whatever. In the winter keep the thermostat above 65, but not above 70, if you're cold out on a sweater. Just little things like that can help keep a family in their budget. Its all honesty common sense thats probably why they won't make a show on it.

I would love to see you watch some Undercover Boss sometime 🤣🤣🤣 I was working at Subway at the time the Subway one aired and I don't remember thinking it was corny or staged but looking back on all these other early to mid 2000s shows it's so obvious how scripted they all were 🤣🤣🤣

10:03 He is actually right on this one. I used to just fill my car with $20 until it was empty and I started noticing I had to fill up my gas super often but when I filled the tank as much as possible the gas wastes sooooo much slower and filling it up for $50 last x4 as long as jut putting $20 every time I needed gas. SO yeah filling your car up when it hits half full actually saves you a fortune! lol

So.... what exactly are they doing with all this "saved" money? Like, whats the point of cutting cost like this?

I always leave my car running while getting gas too, mainly because I have kids in the car and I need to keep the ac running because it’s 110 degrees outside here in Texas.

I grew up poor and never went on vacations, so I can honestly say as a kid I would definitely have just preferred staying home rather than having to watch my parent harrass some poor employee and embarrass me. Especially since they're not allowed to go anywhere outside of the O'Brian zone anyway...

Exactly, a lot of the people in the comment are pretending like vacations are a necessity. They really aren't.

I also own a Jeep and it's the worst vehicle in regards to gas milage. I bought a suitcase for $40 at a thrift store and have had it for 15 years. These people are lame AF at being cheap

16:45 Lol. That’s a funny though… “Oh dad so you need round the clock nursing care now that you’re so OLD and HELPLESS? Gee I mean maybe you can SHARE a nurse with some of the other people in this cheap, ramshackle, depressing home I’ve put you in. I mean I’m just doing what you taught me…”

If you’re gonna be an extreme cheapskate you should not have children. I swear what some of these people force their kids to go through should be considered abuse.

5:39 strapping their luggage closed with several belts. If you’re such a cheapskate my guy, why piss away so much on all these belts you’re not wearing? A pack of heavy duty zip ties is maybe around $5, and the heavy duty ones usually have a little lever that you depress so you can back em off without destroying them

9:44 you can tell this is fake because a true cheapskate would know that leaving a vehicle running uses more gas than starting 💀

i love vacationing in the same place im living in 6:10 the dumb thing is that zippers are super easy to replace, if you wanna be a cheapskate just get reliable tools and learn how to use them, that way you dont have to be the clown using belts on their luggage also they could go wildcamping and proabably have some actual fun, but tents are probably too expensive

I think it's odd that not really any of these cheapskates ever buy second hand from thrift stores, it seems so obvious and yet they just never mention it???

See I knew I recognized this family, this is the same family who washes thier dishes in the kiddie pool, and they also cheated out when trying to sell thier house and they refuse to fix sh!t clearly. Bad idea to even think of coming back after embarrasing yourself💀

I call COMPLETE bullshit. No way the same person who would drive with a flashlight duct taped to their car would be able to do the math of weight/gas.

irony about the gym membership is, workouts dont rely on physical exertion, they rely on muscle groups the machines are designed for. so hes just basically making himself exhausted for no reason at all. being winded and pushing yourself does not mean youre making anything stronger.

As someone who grew up poor, I have trauma related around it and I'm constantly an overthinker about costs of everyday things. These people obviously are doing alright, their house is nice, they have a "nice" car, so them being this much of cheapskates is gonna mess up their kids bigtime.

It always makes me so mad when these family’s do crazy stuff to save money on food, clothes, tolitries etc then they reveal the family car and it’s like a Mercedes or an Escalade or some expensive ahh car. Like it’ll be like “Sharon has used the same toothbrush for 5 years saving an average of 10$ per year” then it cuts to her driving her Yukon Denali.

Gas being cooler does affect density! But any difference between individual pumps at the same time of day and location is going to be negligible. If you have the option to fill up on a colder day vs waiting, it might be a good plan…slightly

I’ve had the same luggage bag since my teens. I’m 35 now. The thing is that mine is not broken though. The zipper works fine and it’s as good as it was back then. It was not the most expensive, but not the absolute cheapest, so I have saved money by investing in something that won’t break too easily.
