What an amazing job you are doing to help this family. I read that diatomaceous earth also kills carpet bugs, bed bugs, etc by drying out their exoskeleton and it is not harmful to humans or pets. It is a white powder that can be spread behind appliances, cabinets and carpet edges etc. I think it might help the bugs to die and not come back. I have not seen another you tube cleaner who actually moves appliances to clean behind and under them, I commend your efforts. Also I could not believe you actually steamed clean the carpets for them. You deserve a special medal for compassion!! Please protect your back, once you injure your spine it will never be the same again. May it never happen to you, but be careful with that heavy lifting.
@ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp

Yes, I believe she actually had some diatomaceous earth that she was going to use. It's funny you mention protecting my back because I have already had back surgery (a lumbar fusion) five years ago, neck surgery two and a half years ago, and right shoulder surgery before all of that, so I try to be really cautious with all that I do. And you're right, it will never be the same!
@johnkelly9451

Just do not breath the diatomaceous earth dust in. It is little exoskeletal remains of ancient sea creatures, less than 2% crystalline silica. Get food grade, long term inhalation can scar lungs.

I found this next video. Ty for putting pictures up. I think I have one of the two in basement where laundry is! Do they eat holes in cotton tshirts? Our basement is partially cement floors and one room beside it is carpet! I saw a moth in basement and it looked like the pantry moth, I thought someone just left another bug in from outside! I must go and buy traps! Another deep cleaning job to do! 😕😖😫😳!
@ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp
11 ай бұрын
@@johnkelly9451 Oh dear, that doesn't sound good. Both the carpet beetles and the pantry moth larvae eat holes in clothes. But there are a few different moth species that do this, so it may be a different kind. I would try to narrow down what exactly you have to determine the best way to get rid of it. Start Googling pics on the different kinds of moths. Borax should get rid of them or even diatomaceous earth which is more pet-friendly if you have pets. Lots of info our there on how to take care of them, but yes, best to act fast before it spreads. Best of luck!

Just started watching your channel. New subscriber. Thank you for helping these people. As for the carpet beetles and pantry moths. There are "bug bomb sprays" available. Open all of the cupboards. Read directions carefully and follow directions. The sprays will kill all of the "critters". To keep the pantry moths from coming into the home; have the home owners put the items in the fridge or freezer directly from the grocery store. The larvae are in the containers from the warehouses and food processing factories.. This was told to me from an exterminator when I had moths.

Hi Bonnie, there is a cleaning company I follow called Yoha Home Cleaning. I think they are Japanese. Just the same, they use some AMAZING cleaning products and they have links so you can purchase them. I just don't like to see anyone have to work harder when it can be so much easier with the right products. Just something for you to look into. 🤷♀ Keep up the great work. I love your channel and you are a sweetheart.

I have watched them before. They do a fantastic job! I'll have to see what kind of stuff they use. Thanks for the idea!

I would be tempted to fill the clean bathtub with hot water and let all those fridge shelves soak

You did an amazing job. I have always wondered would it not be beneficial for the homeowner to participate in the clean up process? Seems it would be empowering for them. Isn’t ownership the first step in their recovery?

Yes, absolutely! She was actually there working on cleaning up her room while I was cleaning the kitchen. I always want them to be part of the process, but since I am also keeping them anonymous, they can't be working alongside me necessarily. There are other videos I have where the homeowner is in the same room working with me, but just out of view of the camera. I guess there have been two homes I have cleaned where I didn't have them help because the only time I could clean was while they were at work, but for the most part, I try to get them involved.

Wow great vid. You did a awesome job. How it's not moldy. Your government allows all sorts of chemicals in your food. Sad but true. Here in Europe are most of those things illegal to use. ❤❤

I felt stressed just looking at the before pics, I feel sorry for the people who had to actually live there. The thought of carpet beetles and larvae in clothes really grossed me out, I hope keeping the clothes in those bags saved them from being eaten. I'm only at the start of the video and looking forward to seeing the after pics

Yes, I realize that now about the gum chewing...haha! I was really nervous that day as it was my first "on-camera" experience. Too late to change it now, but lesson learned!
