I had a UTI which I left untreated for months so have some experience of what you're going through. It is hell especially at night constantly having to wake up to go to the bathroom. But finally went to the doctor and got a course of antibiotics that cleared everything up. I don't know if doing pelvic floor exercises and squats with weights will help build some strength in the pelvic area to help you maintain control and not feel so panicked about always needing to go especially hopefully after your surgery to rebuild strength. My sympathies to you and I hope it gets better.

Thank you for your comments here, it certainly was hell here at the time of making this clip and sadly things haven't really improved even after surgery. I've tried many things but I have learnt following also groin reconstruction surgery last May (A steep mountain to climb for sure) that I may have some nerve damage or damage from the incorrect mesh causing me my issues. I have good days and bad days but when there bad, there on the floor bad. Thanks again for sharing your experience. For me yes it's an issue but I have been blessed in this life and people have far worse things so I try to see the positive in everything in this life and I think in a way it eventually makes us stronger in life. Best wishes to you!

Thank you for sharing this video! I suffer with this problem too, it came on suddenly this year. I’m 30 and totally relate to everything you say, especially the loss in confidence that it causes. I have to use incontinence products and am now trialling my third medication. It is so hard because people don’t understand how devastating it is and how we battle each day. some days it all gets too much and I just need to talk about it, but it’s so hard to find people who understand so I say nothing. Thank you for sharing and raising awareness!

Hello there and thank you so much for feeling you can reach out to me. I honestly feel you and can understand what your going through, what I would try to say to you is that as hard as it seems don't let it take your flair, your happiness and character, I know it does at times but saying this and still dealing with some issues, it doesn't take away how incredible you are as a person and remember there is only one of you on this planet. Your a blessing and you will get through this or a more comfortable sense of normal. God bless you, stay positive and keep going, even the toughest days are a step towards the bright horizon after a storm!

You're right - people don't understand how hard it is. They dont view it as a real problem. The urologist just makes sure its nothing else and then throws his hands up and says: dietary changes, yoga, take this pill Myrbetriq. This pill DOES help most days but it doesnt get rid of it completely. Im only in my 30's and relatively active and fit. Im not overweight. Im even trying to gain a few pounds of muscle in the gym. I eat clean at home. Im trying to get to the root cause of the problem and even suspect lifting heavy weights while doing deadlifts and squats could be upsetting my bladder. Who knows?

@@bradroderick93 Thank you so much 😊🙏. Your kind reply really means such a lot to me and helped me feel much less alone, I really do appreciate it, your words gave me hope 🙏. It’s a relief just to know that someone can relate, because I have found that my friends mostly can’t relate at all and don’t know how to respond when I mention I’m struggling with oab. I have had certain friends laugh or make jokes! I wish they new how much a bladder problem can crush confidence and even cause anxiety. I really hope one day there will be more awareness and support for those of us who are young and dealing with this. I’m gradually adapting to the new normal but still have bad days. If there’s one thing I know, it’s that dealing with this nightmare makes us stronger 😊.

@@justanotherhandle1 Thank you 🙏😊. I can completely relate!! It’s such a frustrating problem, I had various tests and was told it’s overactive bladder. Then given a script for the Myribetriq too. I’ve been on the highest dose of Myribetriq for a while now. I have found exactly the same thing, it helps but it hasn’t cured it completely. I still cannot trust my bladder. It’s like we are expected to be okay with living life with a half functioning bladder! 🤯 Just having to do what we can to make life easier. I cut out caffeine and alcohol which helped slightly, but it’s no fun! I hope you find some relief from the problem, it really is a battle isn’t it!

@@hayleywalkeranimalart2107 I'm on 50 MG. Is that the highest? Yeah - the bad days you cant even leave the house. It's sad. OAB is a debilitating life altering condition that can keep you from working, etc, in a society that demands GO, GO, GO all the time. I cut out dairy, fast food, i cook at home, but I do still drink green tea. I'm just now starting to look at pelvic floor exercises daily. I think my weight training may be contracting those muscles which affect the bladder. So, there is still hope! Are pelvic floor exercises working for you? I hear it could take months to reverse the damage.

Thank you for your comment. It certainly is a very miserable and life changing issue is all I can say. Some days I feel incredible low and struggle to see any positively, some times it's hell! Those days I try not to go out, it's very difficult to manage... I hope yours gets better for you in time. Myself, I am awaiting an operation to hopefully try to relieve some of my issues... Fingers crossed. My best wishes to you!
