Liam, still watching but you're scaring me with how little your eyes are on the road while you're driving. It only takes a split second for something awful to happen to you or other road users. Please consider only filming when you're not driving 🙏

We've recently completed 10000km around Spain, France and a bit of Italy. Our van was 6.3 long, 2.8 high but only 2.05 wide which helped. However, Europe is really well set up for motorhomes with loads of free Aires just outside villages so we ended up staying fit with walking short distances into towns for daily loos, coffees and food whilst parking at larger supermarkets is probably better than UK. We also worried about our size initially, but it was rarely an issue as most places had parking on the outskirts. Bikes would definitely be useful although we don't have them. Please don't let it put you off, go and have a great time!

Superbly filmed and narrated as always. Europe and Spain has plenty of space for you and Morgan. You can suss out the various ‘rules’ in Spain as you go. You will need extra transport. Either a Scooter or electric bicycles as you may be some way from the action. Don’t do too much research - just go and live in the moment for a week or two. Best of luck. 🤠

When we went to Snowdonia we were camping in Llanberris Pass with a 4 and 5 year old. Unfortunately we never got to go up the mountain because the railway wasn't running due to the cloud cover at the summit. We did spend a lot of time though visiting and riding up the mountains on the narrow gauge railways as we 're all grest fans of steam trains. X

Liam's 'piece to camera' at the beginning was very on point, informative and very entertaining. I wonder if the answer to your van size when abroad is to carry electric scooters - for where in Europe they are legal. You would of course need to charge their batteries, but they fold up to be smaller than bikes or mopeds.

Hi You two! We have been travelling for a few years in our motorhome which Is 7.5 long. Travelling in France is amazing compared to Britain because the roads are smooth, wide and have very little traffic compared to England. You can stop to park and are welcomed in villages, supermarkets etc. Driving on the right side becomes second nature. We travelled around Spain and Portugal for 3 months before lockdown. The best thing we ever bought was a sat nav which you input your vans size and weight. It also tells you where petrol stations are and Aires etc. you’ll find it so easy after travelling around Britain. We also have electric bikes! ❤️

The comments about speeding up your jacket potatoes with a metal skewer are correct but if you have a microwave what I do is blast them for 5-8 minutes on full power ( depending on the size/ number of spuds) on a piece of paper towel to absorb any moisture. The inside is already heated through and starting to soften when you put them in the oven for maybe 40 minutes or so to crisp up. Saves time and also gas/electric.

Hi, here a Spaniard living in London the last 7 years. I have driven thousands of miles in both countries. I can say that Spain is much easier for bigger vehicles than UK. Roads are generally wider. Unless you are in a small village you won't find roads or streets for both directions where just one vehicle fits. I used to work as a delivery driver with Luton ivecos and with 6.5m long Renault's and never had an issue. So don't worry. Go for it. Also regarding driving in the other site. It will take a few miles then you will get use to it.

Lots of places in this video and others that I recognise well from living in Wales and travelling in a Luton van myself. If you’re heading down the North Wales coast again recommendations to stay at a couple of places you missed last time; There is a stunning camp site by the beach with a view of the Snowdonia mountain range at Shell Island. We had a cottage in the local village of Llanbedr for a couple of years and had a very similar Luton van to the one you’re driving which we kept within view of our house in the pub car park there (just to let you know that yours will fit if you want to go into the village). We met up with friends at the camp site on Shell Island when they came to visit including a friend in a big old Bedford bus. The camp site allows all sorts of vans, trucks and buses. Shell Island is a tidal island so the road to it is covered by the sea for an hour or so a couple of times a day, there is a marina there full of boats and stunning beaches with the one to the northern side of the island (where the views of the mountains are) being covered with millions of shells that wash up there. You can choose to camp where you like, there are no pitches and you can park up in little coves or high up overlooking the beach or in the sand dunes. I don’t often stay on camp sites preferring to “wild” camp but I make an exception for this one. Another place to visit when heading further south along the coast of Wales is Ynys Las beach near Borth where you can drive onto the beach. I’ve been on there in a Luton van before. Just be careful to check when the high Autumn and Spring tides are as the sea comes in fast at those times of year and covers the entire beach and up onto the road. I’ve managed to stay the night on the beach there leaving early before the wardens arrive or in the car park, on the side of the road and on the beach front at Borth. There’s also a camp site in Borth. I live in a 7.5 ton removal truck now, currently in Yorkshire. I’ve almost finished converting the truck and plan to set off travelling in it in the spring next year so like you I’m trying to plan ahead for where I’m going to fit, just on an even bigger scale! Your videos of Northumberland have led me to consider taking that route up towards Scotland, two parts of Britain that I never got to when travelling in my Luton van (though I’ve been to Scotland before in a car.)

Hi Liam, we have a 7.5m long x 3.0m tall m/h and have been over to Europe for 3 weeks. You are worrying about going into tight places, but in reality you get to a town / city and park up on the outskirts then get transport into town. It’s absolutely no problem plus you will find loads of park ups around towns etc, 100% easier than the uk. We do have a 125 scooter in the garage which we find excellent and so us full. We have been using the scooter for about 8 yr now and wouldn’t be without it. You can easily fit a scooter rack to the back of Morgan. So don’t over think it about taking Morgan in Europe, it’s so easy, much more accepted than the uk and just make sure you don’t drive into narrow streets. We did think about a couple of electric push bikes, but our scooter was a lot cheaper to buy (2nd hand)

Hi, loving your van life. So want to do that zip line....We’re currently just completing our 3 months in Europe in our 7.7m motor home and 90% off grid with some amazing places visited with some great views. We’ve been in France, Andorra, Spain and Portugal .. we’ve mainly used park for a night and our secondary mode of transport has been our push bikes which helps when parked out of town or you just want to explore. Your length shouldn’t be a problem but watch some bridge heights. Yes roads can be small but take it steady and pull your left wing mirror in when you can as others, especially Spanish love to cut corners and go fast!! lost ours 😒 we’ve stayed off the motorways and toll roads and just gone with the flow down local roads with only some key places to we wanted to visit. You’ll love it.

If you go in your motorhome and have a separate mode of transport inside or on a trailer, you need an ATA Carnet. Temp goods in and out. Please see 'all shorts ' channel about this. They had their bikes on trailers.

If you travel to an easy to get to place in Spain you could travel by train for day trips. Cheaper than paying for petrol. People often sing on the train in Spain.Enjoy.

I drive a motor home to Europe every year. It’s a right hand drive but that is no problem at all. Actually it’s a good thing because on narrow roads you can keep over to your side even better as you are sitting on that side. France is a Mecca for campers. They really want you to visit. Everywhere good park up and facilities. I drove all the way to Greece. 8000 km in all. Greece was a real paradise. The best thing is to take bicycles with you so that you can get into villages. We go every year for at least 2 months. It’s really no problem driving on the other side of the road. Trust me. Love Patricia. If you want any more tips just ask.

We take our motorhome in to Europe a lot. 7.4m long coach built. You wont have a problem, some many park ups near towns and villages. We don't have any other transport. We use public transport and walk a lot, but saying all that a little scooter would be great to. We like Europe so much we brought a property in Portugal. You will love Europe its all so motorhome friendly especially France. Enjoy. Just do it don't over think it all 😜😜😍

Hi you two 👋 I’m so pleased you managed to go to the wedding in Spain. Wishing them a long and happy life together 💒 ♥️ Going to Spain was the perfect way to end the trip of a lifetime. 🙌🏼 My Summer was a washout, I missed all the sun by being in hospital. However, channels like this, make me feel as if I’m going out, if that makes any sense. I love to watch all your adventures. The zip line and roller coaster looked so much fun. 🤩 I haven’t been anywhere, but I think a moped or something would be a great idea. Some take big all terrain mountain bikes to get around, but a little moped would be perfect. You can still have the comfort of Morgan, but a little bike to zip in and out when he’s too big. As long as it’s not a country that has Winters like ours 😀 There’s another channel who does Europe, I won’t say another channel name of course. They have been to a lot of different places in their van, so you could check that out for any places you’re thinking of going. Thanks again for taking us on all your adventures. ♥️ xx I have just realised, the channel I mentioned have a van, not a motor home. I only meant they had been to Europe, so that way you could see what the access looks like. Sorry, my brain doesn’t work as well these days. 😃😂
