Ezekiel "Ziggy" Ansah's journey to the NFL, beginning as a walk-on to the Brigham Young University football team from Accra, Ghana, who had never played football before suiting up for the Cougars in 2010. Ansah and BYU Coach Bronco Mendenhall relate how Ziggy walked into the coach's office and asked to play football, despite his complete inexperience with the sport. Although he didn't know how to put on his gear during the first practice, Ziggy's attitude, intelligence, physical ability and resilience allowed him to progress to an elite player and projected first round NFL draft pick. In April, Ziggy will graduate from Brigham Young University with a degree in actuarial science and a minor in business, which he calls a very important event for his family. Ansah came to BYU on an academic scholarship after joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ghana. He initially tried out for the BYU basketball team and was on the BYU track team, before he walked into Coach Mendenhall's office and asked to play football.
