It is indeed a great Ezengileer, but I think, personally, that Oorzhak Khunashtaar-Ool was a Great Master of Ezengileer. That bad thing is that there are a few recordings of him. Still a beautiful and amazing ezengileer of Ayan-ool.

Well I don't think you can independently move the soft palate, but it is always being affect by the surrounding muscles. Learning this one other style would be good (idk the name, but demetri stratos has an album using it...along with a bagpipe-ish sound) It's hard to get it to sound just like him, but you're just nasally humming, you need your tongue pushed up to direct the vibrations upwards, then your jaw will pop open while focusing on those snorting muscles relaxed for full resonance.

@acidfriend47 I learned through tutorials on KZitem. You make a cup shape with your tongue and keep it at the top of your mouth. It takes a long time to get the hang of it, but once you do, you can't really un-learn it.
@MsTapenade

Yep, this singer makes me think too about an alternance between nasal and oral passage. But actually there's another ezengileer demontration where it sound just like a lip rithmical movement. I say: I rely best on this video instead of the other. So it bloody has to do with nasal passage!
@floofytown

The velum is the soft palate. You might be on to something. Still not sure how you'd move the palate to affect that kind of drastic frequency shut-off. I know you said it's a larynx muscle, but I can't find any by a name close to velum. Did you mean the soft palate, or did you mistake the name of a muscle of the larynx? I'm intrigued!

I think it's certainly something to do with the nasal passage. After messing around I can get a similar (and I mean very roughly similar effect) by closing and opening the nasal passage. There's clearly more to it though.
@jakemeow
4 жыл бұрын
It's not about the nasal passage; you have to shape the tongue so it covers all of the teeth and leave only one hole at the very last tooth of your mouth on the right or left side so that air only goes through it It took me a while to figure it out but I hope this helps you
@georgeharper7676

I think what I had wrong was that it's not part of the larynx. You open and close the velum to open and cut off the nasal passage. This combined with Sygyt style I think is how you do Ezengileer but im not positive.

And for the harmonic you need to put your tongue in the top of the mouth don't know the name and slide backward and forward there is a lot of tutorials for throat singing etc and sorry for the late anwser lol I know 9 years later lol

Do a piggy snort inwards, then learn to do borbangnadyr (particularly the tongue thrusts) Then add them both together, you have to get that part controlled, and the wider the range will make the effect more drastic. This will be really uncomfortable, your ears will pop, your sinus' will drain down your throat...so you have to train a lot each day to keep getting better at it...but I think you should learn how to do other styles before this one.
@357mag6866

Better than a soulless electronic music, made in an hour on the computer.
@aids7899

That's extremely narrow minded. Electronic music spans across countless genres and offer endless capabilities. Hell, even a lot of Tuvan Throat Singers end up releasing music with their Throat Singing on top of chill out ambient music, which is a form of electronic music.

In the modern age there isn't really anything as innovative as electronic music, with a vast diversity of different sounds. As it turns out, like all music, you can add just as much detail and nuance into computer generated music, as in any style of music. Also, if you want what you're producing to be any good, it will take longer than an hour. lmao

+OGW sygyt is one of 3 main styles, ezengileer is a sub style. While sygyt is about constant variations with clear overtone, ezengileer should imitate the sound of stirrups while riding the horse, so the singer is adding his voice rythmically

Think of Ezengileer and Borbangnadyr as techniques as opposed to the sound itself. I believe Ezengileer involves alternating between producing the noise from the mouth and nasal cavities and so has this rhythmic feel to it which can be sang in Khoomei, Sygyt or Kargyraa style. Borbangnadyr involves the wobbling of the mouth / lips to produce a tremolo type effect and can also be performed in Sygyt, Khoomei and Kargyraa.
