How is this show not hugely popular, it's hilarious! It has that authentic vibe to it which you rarely see.

Right? It is literally the animated version of that 70’s show. Which ironically Kurtwood Smith (Red Forman) played Sue’s dad in a few episodes (idk if you knew that already but now you do if you didn’t lol, sorry I love that 70’s show and F is for Family). Frank kind of resembles my mom if he had a Scottish accent and were mixed race (I know race don’t have anything to do with it but seriously she was a hard ass to us) but we love her. And I can’t wait for the new season if they have one!

I grew up in the 80s and that’s the type of stuff we did. Your parents told you to go outside and be home by the time the streetlights came on. Kid’s can’t do that stuff now. I freaking LOVE this show!!!

SoCal in the ‘70s (according to my older siblings), ‘80s (I remember from when I was a little kid) and the ‘90s (as a tween/teen). No DDT mosquito trucks in my day, but a friend of mine’s uncle remembered those and he said the kids used to run behind it with their arms spread, pretending that they were flying through the clouds.

I was 14 back in the summer of 1980 and I spent a month at my aunts house in upstate NY. She lived on this dirt road 3 miles up a mountain and 5 miles from town. Sometimes she would take me to town other days she said to me I’m not leaving the house today but a bicycle is in the garage to take that into town. I drove alone 5 miles down the mountain and on a crowded street and just hoped nobody hit me. When I had no money my aunt said the golf course is a few miles in the other side of the mountain so get up early go there and caddy. I’d caddy for 18 holes and make $10.

Growing up in Illinois in the late 2000’s early 2010’s, (I’m 23) my friend’s dad was the one who did the call for dinner. He did that fingers in the mouth whistle that’s like a fuckin train horn that EVERYONE could hear blocks over. Good times being a kid and just fucking around outside all day.

I think there is very little need to explain to his show because many of the viewers lived through this time. I am 2 years older then Burr and when I watch this I fall right back into that world and I know Jimmy Fitzsimmons, I know the Sicilian grandmother. I ramped my bicycle over a hole in the ground. The phone rang during dinner snd my father said Jesus Christ don’t answer it, can I eat in peace. Even the cars bring me back. Vic has a Corvette and I saw an AMC Gremlin driven by someone you can easily imagine driving the Gremlin. Frank is a good father just stressed and he deals with it like many did back then. The kids are typical teenagers where you don’t know what their future holds for them but they are just doing what all kids do at that age. It’s way More realistic the. Most Live action movies where the kid Seems like he is written by an adult who forgot what is like to be a kid.
