"Cop Killa" was by Body Count. Ice-T's heavy metal band. As "metalheads", you should know that. Also, the album wasn't doing that great . It had been out for approximately 9 months before law enforcement, the NRA, government officials, etc. attacked Ice-T but didn't mention it was by his metal group. They played up that it was by a rapper. There was an interlude "The Real Problem" on the self titled album that explains why he was targeted. Obviously, the interlude was recorded prior to the release of "Cop Killa." The thing was, the album was not selling until there was an issue made about "Cop Killa." If they'd have left it alone, no one would know about the song. Body Count still tours and released "Carnivore" this year.

Please react to Ice Cube and the song 'No Vaseline' or 'Arrest the President. I also want you to react to some Ice-T and his band Body Count. A great song would be 'Born Dead' 🤘💯🤘

This song came out before the Rodney King incident, and the L.A. Riots. George Floyd happened a few years ago. Still relevant today.

That incident portrayed int he movie did not happen, but it was a way to truncate all of the encounters they ever had with the police, but FTP was written before Ice Cube actually joined N.W.A.

Nobody ever wrote a song called "Fuck the Firefighters", some people don't like when reality is mirrored back by art, which is the point of art.

Check out Dope's cover of this song for a good metal version of it.

The most puzzling thing about the movie is how Straight Outta Compton was depicted as their FIRST? album. N.W.A AND THE POSSE must be a figment of my imagination.

Back in 2009 a cop found out I rap. He asked me to spit something he liked rap. I spit two lines and he arrested. I got a year's probation, community service, and anger management classes

I live a few cities over from Compton. I was a teen in the 90's and it was just like this. I and my friends are Hispanic and the amount of times in given week that we were pulled over and harassed by the LA County Sheriff and the LAPD (when we would go downtown.)... It was too many times to count.
