Very informative video. So in highest stakes preflop and also postflop sizings associate with rents. Before I remember, at least at lower stakes, it was into Snickers.

on the 88 hand i think the reason he bets river is because bet has way bigger ev than checking granted that if we check a 9 will shove and we pay off,but any worse hand would check back probably,so in these spots it's not that much that we wish to go thin but we re kinda handcuffed due to spr .I think this situation appears on river barrels when spr has reached close to 1 or less and the aggressor is pretty polarised anyway.Btw i just love this channel as a go to for some high lvl reviews keep it up sir

If you think the button will shove 9x+ and check any worse hand, why not check-fold your 8's then?

@@Drcn011 because if you check it's true that u don't face tons of bluffs there ,but u miss getting value from all these hands that u have beat and are expected to call down,like flushes lower pairs,or even a high ace like Aj with heart blocker may hero call in some crazy cases.So u still have value and b) we re not sure that we dont get bluffed or valuebet by worse when we check and face a bet ,so again would be an overfold the 88 there .

@@alexkontogiannis3520 I think, you should feel the dynamic in a special way to expect a call w33 here. I don't get it. In fact, I don't like the call, and I don't like the bet. They're both great players of course, but sometimes when I look at the highstakes hands, It seems to me that people are tilting often when playing so high.

@@Drcn011 Yea i agree that in low to mid stakes it would be a crazy play by both of them ,but in such high stakes battles first of all ,preflop ,flop and turn play is superclose to GTO in many cases ,and in this case again until the river both seem to be along equilibrium pretty much.Now here even river is not this crazy considering that we play a 3bet pot ,and the board just contains a 9xs combos and then only worse hands than 88 in ips range ,talking of 9xs ofc we face a decreased range due to being 3bet/call pre,so again we can think with 88 that if we face a 9x it's a cooler for us but then we wanna bet it ourselves to get paid from all the worse hands.The thing that seems harder to figure out is if 33 should call ,and for this we need a bit more data on how oop range looks like by the river
@alexkontogiannis3520

anyway what i generally believe is that as played 88s are freerolling by betting the river ,since ips range looks very bluffcatchy at this point ,and why is that?due to the board ,but ip's range is not nutted as well and doesnt contain any draws ,so it's capped on the midldle part of weak to moderate showdown value ,and then only 9xs become the top part that are valuebetting if checked into otr.So idk how big percentage of ip's range is 9xs ,maybe around 30% but then it makes the jam really profitable .Only if quads and 9xs become more than 50% of ip's range the thin value jam becomes worse than check/foldin.

when u give player less than 10 you have to let us know what is correct play is to get 10 because I see very standard play get less than 10 often.

why does limitless bet 40% on 229 board but bets 25% at K54 ? 229 is more dry flop but why he bets bigger? Does stack sizes effect his decision?
@Yarakovic

229 isn't necessarily more dry considering all 2 overcard combos

Anyone else think Makeboifin may be the best 6 max or less NL player in the world right now? I wasn't all that impressed by his play when he first started playing mid/high stakes a 3-ish years ago but he has improved dramatically in my opinion the last couple years.

idk we can use game theory to justify the lines in that first hand all that much. Poker is still a game with a huge human factory, believe it or not, and I really think in that hand the factor mattered a lot. The value sought was razor thin, and the call very optimistic, and i think both those things are because these guys have huge egos, tons of talent, and hyper aggressive dynamics.
