I would like to see a Charlolais or Murray Grey bull be put on the heifers and see what results. I know cattle buyers will not pay as much when they see those Brahman ears. I think a Charolais bull would produce white, grey or yellow calves. A Murray Grey bull would produce shades of grey. Those Jersey-Brahman cross cows would be heat, disease, and parasite resistant, and they would be good mothers with good milk production. You probably could buy calves and graft a second calf on to each cow to really increase profit.

@Texas CAT Manuals do you know what would be the average milk production of this cross(50-50 brahman/jersey)? And if you use this cross for beef production, would the results be best than an 100% limousin or other beef breeds??

@Texas CAT Manuals however i dont know what the cost would be here in greece, to put these cross cows in dairy production... to give you an example, here in greece dairy farmers sell their milk around 0,41-0-45 €/ lt and the cost to produce one lt of milk is almost 0,35-0,37€!!! Holdteins or brown swiss produce 25-30 lt/day which is 10-12 euros/day/cow and the cost is almost 8-10 €!!! What i want to say is that if you have these cross cows would produce lower quantity of milk with the same cost!! Or am i wrong??

@Texas CAT Manuals i know but in greece is a little bit different!! Because of the already 10 years economic crisis( if you ever have heard about what has happening to greek people the lat 10 years, but thats another discussion), quality is not being payed!!! So it is with meat too... exept from the limousins wich are being payed around 4,60-4,90€/kg of meat because of its carcass and low bone weight, the other breeds are not being payed well
