Noticed a setting for LED Turn Outage while watching your video, should try enabling it.

Thank you for the video, it's very helpful! Have you found that you needed to install resistors since this video has been posted?

Glad you found it helpful! I ran them this way for a few months and didn’t need resistors. I recently switched them over to Morimoto tail lights and still no issue.

Do you have an issue with when the brake lights are on with these LED bulbs and you hit the turn signal that the turn signal is barely visible?
@SmackeysGarage

I did not have any issue with that. Do you have the same bulbs?

You need to go with Lasfit LED bulbs they have a built in resistor and they don’t hyper flash.

Do you know if this applies to aftermarket led full tail light replacements as well?

Yes it should since it’s just looking for a current draw I believe.

Good note. Did you try disabling the bulb outage notification and still needed the resistor?

I swapped out my stock mirrors on my 2013 F150 Lariat and the signals on the actual mirrors to front and rear sequential LED's . Now I am getting the hyper flash. Do you think this will fix the problem? Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

It’s hard to tell if you’ll need to add a resistor or this will work. It’s unfortunately not straightforward. The hyper flash is supposed to let you know a bulb is out and you can disable that on the front and rear lights. Not sure about how the mirror integrates.

@@SmackeysGarage thanks for your input, I am going to try the Forscan first then go from there. I'll let you know.

I disabled the 'Rear bulb turn outage ' and it keeps blinking fast :( I write and turn cycle off the key off and on, but it doesn't work. It still flashes fast

is it by side? Maybe try turning the corresponding one in the front off to see if it helps. What year is your truck?

FORScan. It is free and linked in the video description. You need the OBDLinkEX also linked in the description to use it.

That's interesting and a good note for people. On that truck you might be stuck using a load resistor as well.

Thanks for the video. I just ordered a cable and downloaded the FORScan app earlier today. Waiting till I get the cable to try a few option changes. I see from a screenshot at 6:30 that there is an option for "Rear LED Turn Outage" and that it is disabled. If you were to enable that option, do you think the system would notify you? Just wondering.

You are welcome! If the LED bulbs are a similar resistance or current as the OEM ones, I could see it working. I haven't tried it though. For LEDs, they don't really go bad as long as you have a quality set. They should last for decades under normal use.
