What ever you do… don’t use the lens tint in a can. In my opinion, it looks like crap in comparison. I have used it before.

2 things that may help u. First u can sand with as high as 800 but 1000 is good too. 1500 is a bit too slick u may have chipping issues. Also the adhesion promoter is great onnplastics but not great for head lights and tail lights cuz its genrally not crystal clear. And not really needed

Does spraying the tail lights mess with the blind spot detectors integrated in the tail light?
@juicer911
2 жыл бұрын
So my tail lights do not have BLISS. However, I know others who have done this mod with BLISS, and they have had no issue. I would say do what’s your own risk. But the people I know who have done it, have had no issue.

Can you post links for the tint mixture. Also could it be used on the headlights.
@juicer911
3 жыл бұрын
There is no line to the tint mixture. I mixed it myself as stated in the video. I don’t recommend tinting headlights, but I assume it would work the same. Just reduce output.

Does the bliss still work through the tint ?
@juicer911
3 жыл бұрын
I do not have bliss. The tail lights are bliss capable though. I cannot personally say that it does work, but according to others who have done the same mod, they claim it does not negatively affect the bliss system at all.

How long did you wait before unmasking the lights? How has the durability been on them any issues?
@juicer911

I literally started unmasking my light right after paint. I removed it while the paint was still tacky. I did not want it to start curing over the seams. No issues whatsoever!

If you have never heard of isocyanates you might want to look it up. Your gonna destroy your lungs spraying 2k clear with no respirator in a garage-type space. You did awesome work and the lights look great but you can not enjoy much if you have trouble breathing a couple years down the road.

something i try to do is position whatever i want to spray as close to its installed postion as possible..... like in this case theyd be upright mabbee chest level-ish (again personal preferance) .... also with the relatively cheap LED shop light options i also light my work area with an excessive number of walmart LED shop lights i mounted on car rim/pipe portable stands that can and do when used with plastic sheeting from same walmart as lights they become a makeshift spray booth keeping overspray and fumes from stinkin up your wifes kitchen and causing a feller to eat cold hotdogs a day er three
