Hey great video thanks for posting, that part of the country looks like an awesome place to live, makes me wanna move to Tennessee. I just bought a 2024 F250 Lariat 6.7 Sept,16th 2024 it goes in for the Carli 3.5 Backcountry but I also opted to get the lower steering stabilizer and the adjustable trailing arms as well. I thought long and hard about getting the 37's like yours but I decided to go with 35" x 12.5" Falkin AT4W LT tires on 20" Method rims. I got the 35's to keep the spedo more accurate and to preserve the take off acceleration. Hope I don't regret not getting the 37's

Hey, great honest review, we really appreciate that, thank you. I just want to point out at 6min, I noticed your brake flex hose appears to be resting against the chassis. It’s possible you have it clocked wrong at the bracket, or the end wasn’t clocked and crimped at the manufacturer correctly. This do happen sometimes with aftermarket parts. If you haven’t already corrected this, I highly recommend you do so. Plus if DOT checks your vehicle, they don’t like to see any brake hoses improperly secured or chaffing on anything. Good luck!

What tire and wheel are you running? How is road noise? Did you consider radius arms also? Truck looks good. I have a 2017 and have been researching videos to get some ideas. Not sure whether I want to stick with the stock 20" wheels and put 37s on them or go to an 18" wheel. I pull a travel trailer and possibly will go to a fifth wheel, so Im concerned about the tow rating. What raiting are your tires? Have you had any issues with towing above 15k? Thanks.

Thanks for watching. I have a video on wheel and tire setup as well as towing 15k with the rig if ya want to check it out. Quick short answers: 37x12x18 Falken Wildpeaks ATs on methods with +18 offset. Tires are not loud nor vibrate but you hear them a little bit. They are E rated and good for around 4,000 lbs each tire. Tow 15k long and short distances. Just towed my construction equipment 500 miles in one day. No issues with the tires. Airbags/rear leafs will be my next upgrade over front radial arms. Dont think they do much besides the looks. My opinion. Hope this helps, Cheers

I was looking at the Carli website and it states that tremors only net 1.5" of lift are you able to confirm if that is true or will we still get the 2.5" of advertised lift? Thanks
@tcr2237
Жыл бұрын
That is true since the Tremor has a longer front coil spring then a standard SD. IStill is a 3.5” lift, but the tremor comes with a 1” lift. Keep in mind, 2020 and newer super duties are 1” lower then The 2019 model so you will gain an extra inch as well. That is why the call it a 2.5”/3.5” lift. All depends what year your truck is. It will darn near level the truck out if you keep the rear stock tremor blocks. A little rake in the front but if you tow, the truck will start to squat with 800-1000 LB of tongue weight. Cheers.

I was wondering about a good quality steering stabilizer versus a dual stabilizer. I think I would rather go that way not because of cost just simplicity. @@tcr2237 what do I need to know about the Caster shims.... ?? Thx in advance....
@tcr2237
2 жыл бұрын
@@lg8471 the Caster shims will rotate your axle back a bit to help with tracking and alignment issues. Since the truck runs stock shims and has larger coils, the axle naturally rolls forward. Ford is known to be light on caster and the tremor is Ben more since it is lifted. The shims are cheap and easy to install. You can pick them up from CJC. Think they are like $30 or something “I think”…. My Carli install video shows them being installed if you want to do it yourself.

@TCR 223 do you notice any issues with running stock rear leaf springs? Of course they warn of unknown ride quality and height. Carli recommends the full progressive but to tow you lose capacity and they recommend an airbag kit but I don't see that they make one for the 2.5/3.5 lift. I really don't want to go that route. I have a 22 that I plan on doing the same build as you. Any feedback on the rear springs is appreciated.

Thanks for watching. No issues with the rear. 37’s on 18’s and the amount of tire really smooth out the ride. Doesn’t have much travel but I do slow off roading and do not jump it at all. It does not flex as good but it’s a super duty… not a Jeep. If you go progressive, and tow, then you will need air bags. That’s the only way I would do it if I swapped out the rear leafs. Hope this helps

Thanks for watching. Ya, still running the factory leafs. The 18” wheels on 37” tires made a huge difference in the ride quality. Running the rear tires around 50 psi or less. Air em’ up when I need to tow heavy, but besides that I have no issues with the rear. I’m actually thinking of keeping the rear leaves and adding airbags just so when I tow, it levels the truck out. I tow a lot at night so my headlights really kill oncoming traffic. Good luck with the build. Truck will transform with the backcountry kit. I like mine a lot. Cheers

My question is with those rims how do you lock your hubs in ?
@tcr2237

Good question. My truck came with auto locking hubs (4WD selector switch)using vacuum lines. There is also a manual knob on the front to override the auto locking vacuum lines. I debated running with/without the caps on the methods and just ran with running caps. The caps pull out on the wheels and are only held on by a rubber o-ring and pressure. I think Ford only puts manual “only” hubs on the work trucks. Not sure though.
