For your flap issue... bm3 tune you can adjust it... once you go into map settings you option to have it open in traction control off or in sport/sport + mode.... and off on comfort mode... not sure if you knew.. I know it's been 2 years since this video...

It’s nice to see a review of this exhaust on a stock setup. I got the Valvetronic exhaust with catless downpipes and no resenators. I love it

You can code the exhaust flap to work as you described with BM3/MHD, since you have that now just check the box in the config tab 👍🏻

You mentioned bending on the midpipe which is normal but what do you mean by cutting by the muffler..? did the tips not line up evenly with the diffuser or was it just sticking out to much and mid-pipe had to be trimmed down for the whole muffler to be slid back a little??. I know I'm a little late to the party but just curious.
@NWAuto

I think the midpipe just needs to be straightened, not cut. I already forgot exactly what the muffler shop told me. But this muffler is designed to fit the N55 mid pipe, not B58

@@michaelwise6970 Yeah I did. I really wanted the quiet and loud mode, which Valvetronic does well. Or else I would have gone with the AWE Touring like I did on my last F30

@@NWAuto Yes I understand That's exactly why I want to order this exhaust to have that valve control, I ordered a M performance muffler for my 2018 340ix and It sounded good until I put in a catless downpipe. But the M performance muffler is not valved so it's stupid loud, it's to much. Also I took my stock 340ix muffler and converted my other 2018 330ix MSport B48, there was no bending anything I just cut it at the dimple and it bolted right on with a clamp and all I had to do is change the diffuser. Anyways so now with my 340i I want to order this exhaust that you got So I can quiet it down a little when I'm leaving my neighborhood hopefully it will do the trick. I don't know where you got yours but they have it on extreme powerhouse for $1285 or something like that and it says it fits the F30 from 2012 to 2018, But I think the fitment problem.. you know bending the midpipe part, I actually think it's because it has to be for the LCI models 2015-2018 because anything before the LCI 2012-2014 or older..The fitment will be off.. I'm not sure but I'm going to call them before I order it and see if they can shed some light on that, bending the midpipe is not really that big of a deal but I would like to just unbolt my M muffler and bolt this one straight to it just like I did with my stock 340i muffler to my 330i That's how it should be especially if you're spending almost $1300 probably more with a shipping..

Or you know what I just thought of maybe I can find a pipe with an exhaust valve that I can plug in the car's control valve actuator or whatever it's called, and just have them cut off the left tailpipe from the M muffler and weld that on... I don't know but I'm definitely going to do some research before I order anything.

So you use the app for opening and shutting the valve? I found out the valve only opens when hitting the gas in sport mode… this is the case right? So to keep the exhaust open the whole time in sport mode I should use that app you mentioned?
@NWAuto
2 жыл бұрын
The best way to keep it always open is to pull the plug that controls the flap. The plug is connected right next to the flap. The first video I ever uploaded on this channel shows how to do it. The alternative is to use the app every time, but that seems like it would get annoying
