Oh she is just so lovely. I love this show. It should always be on Broadway

Patti Cohenour is exquisite. Always was, always will be. And a lovely person as well.

Thank you. I’ve seen the PBS broadcast countless times but have forgotten how much I loved Patti’s interpretation. I was lucky enough to see her in the role front row center. So good.

Her interpretation is also quite different from Victoria Clark's! Victoria shows Margaret in the throes of the contradiction and confusion, sorting her thoughts out in real time and resisting the final realization until the last moment, whereas Patti shows it as more of a final summing up of a long process of thinking. It's calmer and more contained but no less effective.

Thanks you so much for this. Just lovely! With those two, audiences couldn't lose, whoever was in as Margaret, when they saw the show.

+AvalonMorley So true!!! I was there for 3 days off of tour and when I heard Patti was going on after I had seen Victoria, I ran back to the box office!

I wonder if they revived this show if Kelly O'Hara will return to play Margaret

I'm dying right now--wasn't she also in the show playing Fabrizio's brother's wife? I don't remember the character's names!

She played Frabrizio’s mother (‘Aiutami’) and understudied Margaret :)

@@logan0215 Thank you for that moment of clarity. I am just in awe of Ms. Cohenour. I first saw her in Show Boat; then it must have been Light in the Piazza when I saw her again..way too long. I love the way she sings this song, in particular in last section. Just perfect.
