Join me in this fabric scraps project where I create a cute travel pouch for my embroidery scissors!
From pattern, to patchwork piecing and puch making. All from fabric scraps, offcuts and a couple of second hand purchases. Beware the pitfalls of using second-hand fabric though.
The main fabric I used for this project was 'stolen' from a friend's fabric offcuts. It is NOT my usual style or colours, but I was instantly drawn to it.
For me, this project is all about sustainability and practicality, turning scraps into something both useful and beautiful.
Fun fact: The embroidery scissors, featured in this project, are cherished items from the V&A Museum in London, bought during our first visit there in 2018 (despite having lived in London for five years) . The Victoria & Albert Museum is my top recommendation for anyone visiting London - I wish it was closer!
If you have fabric scraps from other projects and aren't sure what to do with them (even a small amount) this could be the perfect project. Don't forget to explore the other videos in my scrap-busting series for more creative inspiration!
