The way the ethnic minorities is treated in China can be a model for other countries. The arrangement may not be repeated elsewhere for a simple reason and that is indigenous natives in China have the rights to self governance. For the example can the native Indians or the Australian aboriginals retain their own land, have their own regional government and keep the tax for the local benefit?

@@MingMore-ne9wm look at the big picture. US politicians yelling at the world, they are the ones on moral high horse, the rest of the world are minions. So it is right to compare the real statistics in it's treatment of it's aboriginal people. What is the growth rate of aboriginal people there compare to those of, say China. What is the health service given, the life span of aboriginal people compare to say, tibetan or Uighure who receive substandard treatment as they said. What about original culture that left in US reservation? Any school or university there? Drop out rate of aboriginal people compare to other? Number of drunkard of those neglected people? And more. In old China, in Mongolia, people were not allowed to wash their clothes by a river because this would pollute the water which was used for drinking by humans and animals. I hope this law can be found in Inner Mongolia and perhaps the rest of China can follow this good law.

Even the Republic of China (ROC) government on Taiwan doesn’t recognize the autonomous regions as Inner Mongolia is the creation of the Communist Party which seized parts of the five ROC provinces including north Ningxia (Ninghsia). The other three: Ningshia, Guangxi (Kwangsi) and Xinjiang (Sinkiang) are still considered ROC provinces, plus Tibet AR has the Tibet Area, western Xikang (Sikang) and parts of southern Qinghai (Tsinghai). Russia was the one who created the People's Republic of China and the mess. But nice informative though. There’s also autonomous prefectures, autonomous counties, ethnic townships and villages, vice versa.

because they are not minority.. both of these area are HAN chinese which is the majority of china. and HK and macao just coming back to china in 97 and 99 after being colonized by colonial power. china actually want to use HK and macao as an experiment for democracy.. if it's work, they would try to implement the same system in mainland. but i think what happened in hongkong prove that democracy won't work for now. if it's fail in smaller area like hongkong, it would only create greater chaos and division in a huge area like mainland china.
