@aghoghosenneaya4352 Thanks for reaching out, and I apologize for not answering it the first time someone asked. We messed up after the first one and drove me home immediately after, and that was about two hours. I could barely get out of the Pilot and had to shimmy sideways in order to move smoothly. I was out of work for a month and went to PT for a month or two. My range of motion was vastly improved, I just wish I would have continually done the PT as part of a daily regiment. Just put a gym together and will be doing them again. After the first surgery, I used the Kodiack Polar Ice machine, which is amazing and a must. Overall it took about a month. The second one was easier because we had a hotel 5min away and I was able to lay down. The drive home the day after wasn't as bad, either. Plus, I knew what was coming. I had them a year apart. Best of luck if you're getting it, or know someone who is. It's amazing, but never give up the PT, ever.

Thanks for this video!! For people wandering about the first step a good Wahl massager would do a great job. But I would wait at least 2 months to allow some body healing before using an electric Wahl massager. Now this is not medical advise but my own opinion.

Electric/mechanical massagers can certainly be helpful tools...but an even more comprehensive approach is probably even more ideal than any 1 tool! :-)

Nothing wrong with asking for credentials. :-) Here's a snapshot from my bio: Shane’s most important qualifications pertaining to FAI are: He has FAI (cam morphology) He also ha s labral damage and a subchondral cyst He used to have a lot of pain and movement problems...but no longer does. This video is a snapshot of his journey out of FAI: kzitem.info/news/bejne/yWt41pmYpZR1e20 Shane’s Bio: Shane is the CEO and founder of GotROM.com - a website dedicated to helping athletes fix injuries and get flexible. He is a Certified Massage Practitioner (CMP), Strength & Conditioning Coach, and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES). Since 2010, after suffering a traumatic back injury, due to an underlying hip condition called femoroacetabular impingement, Shane has been intensively studying various healing modalities (PNF stretching, Joint Mobility, Yoga, Massage, Chiropractic, Physical therapy, etc) to learn how to heal and optimize the functioning of the athletic body, and in 2013 he began teaching his system and methods to thousands of athletes who have benefited from his unique approach. He is the creator / co-creator of over 12 popular online programs, including The FAI Fix, which are helping thousands of people around the world fix pain, correct posture and improve their flexibility & mobility. Shane’s educational journey began at Central Michigan University in 2003, where he studied Dietetics and Kinesiology and graduated with Honors. A competitive internship with the Strength and Conditioning Department allowed him to work with collegiate athletes in sports ranging from football, soccer, track and field, wrestling and baseball. This “in-the-trenches” experience, on top of his foundation of nutrition, anatomy, bio-mechanics and human physiology further increased Shane’s enthusiasm for the human body, fitness and rehabilitation. Shane’s professional career has been further accelerated by training with Olympians, working with elite level coaches and athletes, as well as prominent trainers and physical therapists. These mentors have shaped his critical thinking and eye for the small but crucial details of training. Shane is a member of the NSCA and got certified as a USAW Level 1 Club Coach.

My dog. Success will come when you realise you're in control. Get your surgery (if needed) and do the physiotherapy. Commit yourself to it without fail, every, fucking, day. So many of us get physio advice and don't do it and then complain that it doesn't work, myself included. I learnt the hard way that I'd been giving away my power and wasn't committing myself to the recovery process. Take back your control and you'll recover.
