Thank you for being so transparent and sticking to your dreams. You’ve got the right mindset. At the end of the day a lot of the competitive specialties come down to networking and research. Trust, I know folks with low scores or didn’t pass the first time who are in competitive specialties and it was because of the connections they made or the amount of pubs they had. @@zchats26 Just a curious question: If a person chose to get a master's or a PhD in public health and then decided to apply to medical school, would it be easier for them to get in and would they still have to take Step 1 etc? Also, if a doctor of family medicine wanted to specialize in plastic or orthopedic (or after he's been in it for a little while) what would he need to do to switch career paths since he's a doctor already?
